Unless they are signed on as part of player development staff like Malhotra was or special advisor roles like Smyl. The prospect i am most intrigued about from the draft is Jack Rathbone. He wasnt really on my radar probably because of where he played. Going to Havard shows some intrlligence. He had a great interview. Sounds like a player in the Stecher mold.

Trade Tanev to Tampa Bay for 2 prospects. They can afford to give up 2 at least. Seriously Yzerman has to be a (frank)en genius.

I want Franson firstly because I trust him more than Pedan. He has a nice shot and will add a little toughness.

I see the team unfolding like this in the next three years. I think Tanev will mentor OJ this year and next . I think Edler will mentor Stecher one more year.

That leaves Gudbrandson. I like what EG can offer but he is not a 4 million dollar man as of yet. He really needs to step up and show what we expected out of him or he is traded at TDL. If he does show he is that beast then you trade Franson .

I think next year at the 2018/19 deadline Canucks should ask Edler to waive his NTC at TDL
