If i was 6 inches taller, 20 pounds heavier, 20 years younger, played hockey every day since I was 2, had a rocket for a shot, skated like elvis stojko and was as tough as nails, I too would have gone 1st overall. - Scooby_Doo
But then we would miss you posting here.........nvm |

Why are they trys and not tries?
Got to love a sport that rewards trying. - Scooby_Doo
I don't know, the game was invented by a 16 year old kid so it might just be a spelling mistake. |

Man I didn't see more than one Henny Penny post the last two days... what's going on here?!
I saw Lind play a couple times, didn't think he was particularly noticeable but the Royals were playing very well at the time. He scored one goal, big wrister. The more I watch tape, the more I get comfortable with the pick. Not a flashy player, but big and knows how to find a lane. Not a bad skater either. |

Have to say as long a Benning doesn't have a brain cramp and pull another LE in free agency I think it could be a long summer for the Benning haters ... |

Pettersson is a much better player than Glass imo but I'd have been happy with either. A win-win really!! - LeftCoaster
It 'appears' that Petersson might have a slightly higher skill set but to me Glass looks to be more of a complete player…time will tell of course |

The thing about the Benning haters is they will gladly hope they are wrong. Anything they are wrong about will benefit everyone.
The only thing I am expecting from him the rest of the year is a nice low cost D man in free agency and movement at TDL.
That is not being unreasonable. I do expect a finish in the bottom 5 so I think it will be hard to be disappointed. |

I think Glass looks like an upgrade on Horvat but similar style. Pettersson looks more flash and dash and pull you out of your seat style. I am no sure about his 200 foot game but I think there will be thrilling plays. |

I think your expectations are very reasonable ...would you be opposed to Benning overpaying on a 1 year deal for a D man but flipping him at the deadline ? |

Next year is when this team starts to become interesting to watching with what will likely be our youngest team in... hard to say, a decade probably ? I think it will Ben quiet too, dman at hopefully a reasonable price and a goalie. |

He can't really overpay by that much in reality. He has 19 mil in space and has to give Bo a new deal and sign Miller and about 6 RFAs . In the end he will only have about 4 mil in cap space. |

I wonder about Miller, closer july1 gets the more I think JB goes younger and cheaper. |

I see Boeser OJ and Goldobin becoming regulars next year at some point. I also think they will bring Dahlen in at TDL to give him a feel for the NHL. |

Wonder what grubauer would cost via trade ? If it wasn't too much would a combo of him and marky be adequate? |

I wonder what he could have signed Bo for last summer compared to what he will have to |

I think it would have been more expensive last year. Last year Bo was our only hope. |

I prefer this route. I like the idea of two young guys battling for starts. I'd be happy with any option that's not NTC or NMC |

I have a long list of reasons to dislike him as a GM, however, I do have a few bright spots now that make him more palatable. |

Seidel on Petrus Palmu: "(He) might have been one of the three most exciting players in the OHL this year." #CanucksSeiden is NHL Central scout
Let's hope this translates in a couple of years with us. |

The more I seen him the less I was excited at the end. Let me explain . I think he was trying to do everything himself. I don't blame him because his wingers were sh1t.
He had some slick moves but teams knew it was coming and concentrated on him. |
