I'm not talking about the normal meetings that all teams do - I'm talking about the extra-special meetings only Pettersson (and Makar) got invited to. Jesus. - stringerbell

Easy to say this or that would have been a better pick, but we won't really know for a few years.
Anyone got any lineup proposals? - hillbillydeluxe

Wasn't petersson mentioned as probably going first if he was a bigger body right now ? - Redmile247
Of the top tier prospects, he (arguably) did more vs men in a boy's body than the others did against boys in their men's bodies. The skillset is unreal & if he were physically as developed as the others (Nico/Nolan/Mittelstadt/Vilardi/Glass) & playing in the CHL, he's the no brainer 1OA IMO. |

My source: Direct quote from the GM of the team involved.
Your Guys' source (first time I asked for a source): Ignored.
Your source (the second time I asked, about a different issue): Can't be bothered.
OK then... - stringerbell

Yeah fine with that. The point they keep making is getting draft picks for cap dumps. I am not aware of any offers like that and wondering if they know someting about it for making it so often.
Only Vegas fleeced Isles on one mostly because of expansion draft. Pretty baren out there by teams offering up picks for garbage. - Nuck4U
Dallas said they are going to get rid of a goalie soon. They might do a buyout though.
Literally no trades to make, the players available suck.
Galchen Duchene
The only player I was interested in was Drouin, but that time has passed. |

I gotta admit, I thought you would have stopped after your first or second post like your usual MO. But good on you for sticking around.
The meetings and dinners were reported in the media, whether or not you can find reference is not our issue.
You have your mind made up, you hate Benning, you have a closed mind regarding anything this club does as evident with every post you have ever made.
So take care and enjoy your anguish. - Makita

Pillar is literally the only player I like on the jays.
I wish western Canada got an MLB team, the Jays are really lame. |

Why I like your pick of Pettersson is the kid is sic with skill & mature.
Honesty beats out false bravado in my books.
He is grounded well & along with Lind Gadjovich & Dipietro we got lots of moxy & quiet confidence & maturity. BO has proved all those r valuable intangibles.

Thought I was agreeing.
I don't see any use in getting too excited about who we did or didn't take when I have no influence in the decision making. and as I said to the wife last night, they don't usually call a players name and then change their mind. so we get who we take.
the biggest surprise with me is the time still needed for many of these guys to develop and be ready to play in the NHL. I really thought readiness to step in would play a larger role in the selection criteria. any shortcut would be taken.

I've been reading on Lind, seems like a solid pick (NHL size and good at scoring goals) |

Same here, I honestly thought Villardi was the guy... could have slot in as 3c next season.
Guess they are thinking long term, which is fair. |

I'd be happy with any Canadian team not named the Blue Jays. I hate Toronto.
Maybe the Expos will come back. |

they are being patient. which would indicate support from ownership or less meddling. I'm surprised and kind of disappointed because I like alluding to the meddling owner. |

it's pretty clear they want to field the same team next season, so they can get another pick. At least, that's what I'm reading.
I'm just very impatient. |

Anyone have any info concerning Pettersson's availability for training camp?
Sounds like he's already begun training camp with his Swedish team.....whats the probability that we see him at camp and/or the young stars tournament?
