Anyone have any info concerning Pettersson's availability for training camp?
Sounds like he's already begun training camp with his Swedish team.....whats the probability that we see him at camp and/or the young stars tournament? - Whiskey-Tango
from what I've heard we won't see him for another couple of years? Which to me is bogus, get him to Utica ASAP. |

I like this idea ...I would maybe give him one more year in Europe |

Of the top tier prospects, he (arguably) did more vs men in a boy's body than the others did against boys in their men's bodies. The skillset is unreal & if he were physically as developed as the others (Nico/Nolan/Mittelstadt/Vilardi/Glass) & playing in the CHL, he's the no brainer 1OA IMO. - DrChristianTroy
I liked Glass and thought he was a solid player but he doesn't have the same mad skills and only had supposed grit with less speed over Elias.
So I am all in with the above of what you presented. Can't wait to see Peterrson in another year in NA. Especially if that's the open window for Sedin retirement!
JB says he's playing this season with men's team in SEL where league starts early. So we won't see him in camp. |

Because he played in Europe I think he is eligible to play in Utica |

isn't he 18? I thought Europeans could come over at 18 (Puljujarvi is coming to mind, he played most of the year for the Oilers farm team).
I have no idea on the rules, seems a waste to have him in Sweden while Dahlen is in utica. |

Dallas said they are going to get rid of a goalie soon. They might do a buyout though.
Literally no trades to make, the players available suck.
Galchen Duchene
The only player I was interested in was Drouin, but that time has passed. - Crazybagoham
Yup seems like it. Don't think cap dump offers are out there and even by end of training camp may not come up. Maybe next TDL if someone is trying to move out a player for a need that may be on the market. But it's tricky and just not viable as a real option to consider right now. |

I've been reading on Lind, seems like a solid pick (NHL size and good at scoring goals) - Crazybagoham
plays C as well....so bonus |

No ...doesn't seem to be pottymouth trained |

So most likely he plays next year in Sweden and then Utica the following if he doesn't make the Canucks |

Zero according to interview with JB. He said he's locked up playing for SEL team this season.
May get a peak at young prospects in July. |

He will be at the prospects camp in July/ August but will not be at young stars or the main camp. He is playing SHL and their season starts earlier.
I would much rather have Pettersson playing in a pro, 1st tier men's league than the CHL. I would think the AHL/NHL comes the next season. |

You are correct and good of you to know more on that. But Elias is still under contract for SEL team. Dahlen has this out clause and wants to play in NA now. But JB may send him back to SEL if he can play on same team with him.
We'll see about Dahlen this kid may be good enough to earn some time with Sedins or Sutter this season. |

Already started training camp with SEL team. Don't be shocked next season, 2018, if he makes Green's list at C especially if Sedins retire. |

Well hello new and well informed new guy. What made you join in this time of peril? So many posters were talking of abandoning team. So curious to your valid dedication at this time? |

The Dipoto/Servais era is a different story. The lineup is stacked and it if weren't for that freak show Aaron Judge, we'd have the 2 ALROY front runners. Once we get all of our rotation healthy, watch the (frank) out. |

Wrong. The rumour, as reported, was that Vegas offered us a deal to switch picks - but then they somehow figured out that we weren't taking Glass, so they rescinded the offer.
If we don't do something stupid, we get Pettersson AND a pick. But, we obviously did something stupid and telegraphed our selection.

Wouldn't that be great if GMs made statements about every trade that never materialized. - Scooby_Doo
It would be pretty interesting especially from the GM's making stuff up to hurt other teams.
