More I think about it the more I hope we make another big trade rather than get in any bidding wars in UFA.

We had 2 first round picks this year, and got Vesey for free last year. I hate how we pissed away our draft picks in the past. But I am willing to dangle 2018 picks to COL for any of those guys rumored to be moving there.

I am just not sure what we can trade outside of those picks to make it all work, but I'd like to see them get one of those big 3 pieces out of COL rather than signing guys to contracts we will regret.

I didn't since I was not born yet but google image search revealed it to be Steve Vickers. Looked familiar and I know of the player but that is outside my realm of knowledge.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Anything under $3M per is a good deal for that team.

I agree. all the UFAs are not that good. i would take a nice hard pass on most of the Centers available. Wouldnt mind taking a look at Patty Sharp - assuming he is healthy. but Defense and Center are weak pools this year. They need to trade for a player, or stop rebuilding on the fly, and simply rebuild.
