Sweet!
It's always good when ya get what you want/need.
I was away from home for a bit and spent quite a bit of time in a diesel 4 door pickup truck. I keep thinking I should buy that and a trailer. - golfingsince

I don't think it's a reach, it's a choice.
Higher upside vs safer pick. - golfingsince
I didnt go back and read the draft day thread, but my thoughts on the pick was he went for highest skill/IQ. Seems almost like a do-over from the JV-Ehlers decision |

I agree with this, although I do think Glass has more of a skill set than JV. |

Should end the cap dump speculation with Dallas. |

Jordan Weal (despite being undersized) is a forward I would like to take a look at.
I would look to maybe sign Kulikov while his value is at it's lowest.
I would maybe look at Michael Stone - Codes1087
I was hoping Derek Ryan would hit the market but heard Carolina looking to resign him.
I wouldnt mind taking a flyer on Tyler Pitlick. Started out quick last season but got injuried and never got another chance. |

Lol Analytics always wins man. Tanev and Hjalmarsson are shot suppression and defensive minded defenseman. Hamonic generates offensive while playing a decent defensive game (despite having a bad year this year). - Codes1087
Tanev is younger and has a great contract for longer. He is worth more. Also Hjalmarsson got a younger top 4 RHD that is not quite as good(still has room to improve though) and a good prospect. You want a 1st only and we take back a contract. My arguement is solid, he is simply worth more. Hamonic is not very offensive minded. HIs points show that. He is a defensive defenseman jut like Tanev who has a good breakout pass, like Tanev. Tanev is worth far more than a late 1st and a bad contract. If that is all we can get he is worth keeping until TDL of his last year where he can get more as a pure rental. |

Marek Stellick and Millard, talking draft: Vegas did very well, having Glass drop to them at 6 helped.
Canucks reached a bit there, just like they did last season when selecting Juolevi. - Reubenkincade
Glass was rated 8th by Mackenzie which is always the most accurate list. Technically if they selected Glass that would have been a reach. The only actual reach was when the Rangers lost their minds and selected Anderson. |

There is too much blue. Needs more bright colours. |

Same, but Petterson has the potential to be a consistent 80-90 pt guy, Glass is more of a 70-80 pt guy. That's the way I see it. We have Bo as our 65-80 pt guy on the team. We need skill as we already have grit. |

As far as goals/pts for their break out passes. Hamonic feeds the puck to guys like John (frank)ing Taveres, while Tanev feeds the puck to Henrik I-Can't-Find-My-Brother-What-Do-I-Do? Sedin. Switch their teams and Tanev has better stats all around then Hamonic. |

Just posted what those 3 guys said. I also wanted Glass but am almost over my crying about who we picked in 1st.
A few weeks ago I did say I would be happy with Glass Vilardi Pettersson or Necas.
Since Benning has been GM, the guy guy I wanted was taken directly after he picked. (Other than the Boeser pick).
I will move on and hope they all work out. |

Like Lefty said it's time to move away from Miller and let Marky handle the load. No need to pay for a guy like Miller to finish bottom 5. - LordHumungous
Then no need to pay any UFA.
I've no probs letting Marky take a shot at #1
Lets stay outta the UFA market entirely for this season. |
