All in all with all the changes & the kids around next season will be fun & painful. Seeing the trees for the forest will challenge our fanbase greatly. Open minds will be needed but there will always be the negative ppl or those on a witch hunt for JB's head. Utica in itself will be a better measuring stick to where our future may lie. Next year will not be all glorious but good signs should be abundant. |

Keys i look to as follows....
How does EG Hutton & Stecher improve & how much?
Will the PP be a bonus or our bane again?
Will Sven & Granny keep improving?
Can JV show he deserves a roster spot & what impact he can bring?
Can we finally see less injuries to better assess our team?
Lastly what does LE have to say? Was last season a 1 off & back with a vengeance? |

No doubt.
Hope she's taking it in stride. I would assume, being married to you, she has a good sense of humour.

I'd push it as an eggless quiche. |

"Last year, the Canucks signed top-tier UFA Loui Eriksson on July 1. They also inked forwards Jayson Megna, Michael Chaput and Borna Rendulic, as well as bringing defensemen Philip Larsen and Chad Billins back from Europe"
So, the bar literally couldn't be set any lower this summer. - Vanoxy

Let's just hope Linden/Jimbo remember what a great feeling it is to get add these many quality prospects to your organization in less than 48 hours. They need to add more picks in the first 3 rounds for next year's draft and this time they won't get one gifted to them by Torts. |

I get the sense that 2018 picks will be harder to acquire.
Which does not bode well.
Move Miller at the tdl?
Who else? Henrik?

Set Granlund and Baertschi up to Succeed. Both on expiring cheap contracts and young could be worth 1st easily at next TDL. Or maybe 2- 2nds |

2nd wave of desperate UFA's. Lowball them and wait. Some might prefer going to a poop team to get minutes and try UFA again next year for more money.
You're not gonna get 1sts for them at the TDL, but you could get a 2nd/3rd.

People say this every other year but GM's on playoff teams will always buy. |

Hextall has been excellent at this very thing. Had 11 picks going into the draft, used them to move up and had an awesome draft making 9 picks overall, six times in the first four rounds. |

Benning had 6 in the first 4 as well but traded the SJ 4th for an extra pick, I don't have a problem with either. |

Yep not downplaying what Benning did, he had a very good draft. I'm saying he's not getting a free second rounder next year, he needs to make that happen so he can have another good draft in 2018.....if he still works for the Canucks |

He got on for free, to be fair |

glass has 2nd line potential tops, petterson has 1st line elite potential. I have seen glass he didn't really stand out, he looks solid but not flashy or high end skills. |

At most in a perfect world & being realistic & wishful....
Tanev for a top 6-8 1st & a 3rd
Edler forced for a 2nd & 3rd
Prospects could be involved depending on the trading partners. |

Tanev's ntc kicks in July 1st. Hard to move him unless he wants that. |

I'd like to see Karl Alzner here at a descent price. |
