i am pleased with our pick. There were lots of good options and the only players I was strongly opposed to were Liljegren and Rasmussen. I was also clearly not that high on Vilardi as well as evidenced by the 25 arguments I had with Neem over him. Not surprised he dropped.

Lots of good reading on the draft, concensus is the Canucks did well, to which I agree. Hopefully one of those kids has an impact at the nhl level and at least two have good careers.

Unlike you guys, I don't think a rebuild should take 5-6 years before the team is trending up again. Getting stuck with guys like Alzner/Eriksson for 5-6 years at 5M+ per is a terrible idea. They're nice complementary pieces on a contending pieces, not core players on a rebuilding team.

It entirely depends on multiple factors, none of which favor the Canucks. It's gonna take some time.
