That whole franchise has been a disappointing $hit show from the very moment it became a franchise. It should either be dissolved or moved. Bettman and the other big wigs are to stubborn to admit failure that is the only reason it still exists.

I love everything about the Flames roster except for goaltending. Get Burkie out of there. Whenever he is associated with a team, they can't solve the crease.

no one here even the Pom Pom crowd has any expectation other then a lotto pick for the Canucks. The talk will be about compete to be bubble for development over sink to guarantee top picks in rounds 2 on.

But it's amazing how confident you are in the Flames as a shoe in for the playoffs. I'm sure Vantel will have something special to say later about that.

It entirely depends on multiple factors, none of which favor the Canucks. It's gonna take some time.

Very true. Some rebuild take 2 years some take 10 and some take 50 (like the Leafs)…it is what it is. We will be somewhere in the 3-7 year range.

I actually don't mind Smith in a different environment. Your D is solid to be sure but again…you lack the third and 4th line punch scoring to get to the 2nd or 3rd round of the Playoffs. Until that happens you will be a first round team circling the drain hoping to be a second round club. Your top 6 forwards are excellent…just need to round them out.

Don't matter where you finish in the division if you lack depth scoring for the PO's.

Handles the puck great but prone to overhandling gaffs.
Can still steal a game now n then but can also give them away.
Hot n Cold but the Flames D oughta insulate him fine.

On paper that is the best de if not top 3 in the league. But if they are your goalie should be really good too. So either the goalie was horrible or the de is over rated as hell. Ibguess well find out this uear

guy has rocks in his head perfect fit for that fan base.

I know it's early and everyone always likes best case scenario but given how bad the Canuck drafts have been this may turn out to be their best draft to date.

It still is with Demko and when Tree returns. McCann turned into Guddy. Just JV hasn't proven his potential yet. Thus, the negativity of failure falls down on JB and that draft. But like Trees return next season or so JV will come through too.

I'll give this early prediction that Dahlen, Peterssen & JV will form a good line. They can create and score while JV can make room for them, snipe, or clean up rebounds. JV's speed would be complimentary to EP's game and set up ability.

Time to move on from Miller, some capable tenders out there to split with Marky or let him take the ball and run with it.
