Mikhail Grigorenko also not qualifiedoing. 6'3 centre over 200 lbs 23 years old. Might be worth a shot. 4th line material maybe. |

He scored 10 goals last year. Gaunce can move up to 3rd line. |

Doesnt look bad. If he costed under 2 why not have him for when injuries hit - phyllee
Yeah he would definitely be at that or more likely less. He only has 51 NHL games so not in position to get much. In fact Wild will probably sign him for less then prior contract as UFA so goes the reporting. Perhaps the "Swedish Mafia" here convinces him to talk to Canucks. |

Why wouldn't the sens pay that to get him back ? |

Improvement over Chatpoo and Guancy plays wing better. Gringoreko not a bad add as Canucks low on C and there are lots of wingers from prospects to fringers like Boucher up to earn spots. Who knows maybe Grinko might find chemistry with possible Nail signing.
This is report. JB should be all over this given how bare C is right now.

According to Lebrun they are ...that rule was for say the ducks trading a D man away before the expansion draft and then getting him back right after |

Id rather Weal, doesnt have the size but has more offensive upside. |

He's a right shot so that's good to for this team now. But isn't he better suited as a winger like Granlund has proven to be at the NHL level?
Anyway , since Canucks have zero depth at C, that they played Guance and Chaput, might as well sign both Grigo and Weal for team. Waive Guance and Chaput to Comets for depth. |

Kind of makes you wonder why Ott didn't take a stab at him. He was Karlsson d partner.

Per Rick Dhaliwal – Igor Larionov (Yakupov Agent) confirms that Yakupov will be going to free agency and HAS interest in signing with the Canucks (Bure and Canucks were his favorite player/team growing up)
Just now per Igor Larionov – “Nail would LOVE to play for the Canucks” - Codes1087
could be ok. makes sense in way of player for sedin line.
incentive laden 2 way 1 yr deal with club option of 2 more years at same money would be ok |

After qualifying deadline now have favorite list for Canuck signing UFA's. All are under 25 and would sign for cheap or one year contracts. They could be pumped and dumped at TDL or kept on for future given their young age.
Weal C/RW
Grigorenko C
Yakupov LW/RW
Christian Folin RS D
Kulikov LS D - he's 26yro but played well with Guddy. |

Yak would definitely be worth the 1-2 yr 1-1.5mil a yr risk.
