Not many prospects will make the team if any.
Last years roster other than add a D or 2 is what we want to grow.

with him being a past 1oa and only 23 its a worthwhile gamble. Green may get a fire under his butt and with his age he has time to straighten out.

No all NCAA players or eligble players can go to a summer training camp. It's not seen as a try out for a professional job. Like a professional team camp is like junior, AHL, European or NHL. So covering, flights and accommodation or even insurance are seen as payments nullifying amateur status.

That's what players preserve to be eligble and stay in NCAA. But they can be subsidised for a training event like these NHL summer camps or those Nike or football camps or Eurpean soccer camps.

Seems like there'll be plenty of decent depth forwards/dmen available as ufa's and a decent amount of them are under 30 years old....depth ain't hard to find/replace.

They can do development camps as seen as subsidized training. It's only camp for tryouts for professional jobs that you lose eligibility for NCAA.

Well UFA's like that probably won't make it to waivers but last seasons canuck fodder would. So who's playing if you have prospects all there too? That's like 5-7 open roster spots if you do what you say. Who are you spending money on that would take one year deals for cheap?
