That's pretty optimistic. - A_SteamingLombardi
Mostly yes. I project mostly on the basis 1 more year experience makes us better & rely heavily on less injuries. The mass of injuries the past 2 yrs has stopped us from seeing our true potential. Idk if we r better or not than i believe but continuity would help greatly. |

Per Rick Dhaliwal – Igor Larionov (Yakupov Agent) confirms that Yakupov will be going to free agency and HAS interest in signing with the Canucks (Bure and Canucks were his favorite player/team growing up)
Just now per Igor Larionov – “Nail would LOVE to play anywhere in the NHL” - Codes1087

Going on some success last year....
Sedin Sedin Granny
Sven BO Boeser
Goldy Sutter LE
JV Gaunce DD
Boucher Labate
Edler Stecher
Hutton Tanev
OJ EG
???
Pretty stale looking considering our scoring sucked.
I'm banking on less injuries & the Sedins comeback on a mission.
BO & Boeser together for a full season will be fun.
Sven Granny Goldy will be more comfortable & keep improving.
JV will have a fire under his ass with TG being the match.
OJ will make his debut & see PP time.
Remade PP units will improve us to about 20OA.
EG will be the leader we got him for & JV will bang with him.
Speed speed & more speed will be TG's system.
Accountable & skate hard every shift for playing time. - Nighthawk

Thats fine risk to take if he is willing to go Utica if needed.
Rebuilding his career would be his best option & ours. - Nighthawk
Give him a chance to rebuild his value and become an asset, while keeping the team's actual prospects down in the AHL to properly develop is fine by me. It isnt like he will be getting a 5 year deal |

Pleae, no. No. - Marwood
We already have Bear cheese at 1.85 mil. if Yakupov is willing to take that then I say fine do it.
Bear cheese 206GP, 43G, 93pts
Yakupov 292GP, 53G, 120pts |

I think we should promise him a spot on the Sedin line to entice him over |

For sure. Where's the downside? You never know what it'll take for everything to click for a young guy with tons of talent who hasn't figured it out yet. He's still only 23 |

I would be all over a cheap Yakupov signing. No risk, ultra high reward.
Would also serve to increase the competition among our already stacked assembly of bubble wingers. |

Idk but our strength is on the wing.
Scoring was fine & we got more in trades.
The Sedins will be better i would bet on.
LE will bounce back but not as a $6m UFA...25/25
Playmaking C is where our biggest hole is.
D scoring was simply horrible.
Winger assets could be trade bait but idk if in the forseeable future yet.
Too early IMO to be trading any.
Stable D & Tending r priorities.
The PP is atrocious & can only get better.
Building up Utica is a huge goal. |

I would give Nail a 1.5 or less deal for 1 year. Let him fight goldy, etc for a spot and if he doesn't then send him to Utica. If he can somehow find his game after all these years he will be a good addition. If he doesn't then w/e. Didn't cost us anything at least. |
