I don't actually believe he will do this
Although he had a good draft ...so the law of averages may come into play here - Redmile247

I am the self acknowledged worst here at posting line ups no doubt.
My penchant for doing so is obvious.
It paints me a picture of the dynamics & reality of our team in general.
From there i can see hope & make up of the lines.
Moving forward....
Scoring is stifled til playmaking at C is greatly improved.
Speed is still improving but need for more.
Grit & toughness is a concern.
Tenacious puck dogging can overcome that.
Idk if we have enough of that on the forwards though.
Trading Hansen/Burrows we lost a ton of it.
Who can replace that? I don't like our odds so puck control will be MANDATORY.
It will be a very long season while TG creates his own team identity.
I expect a lot of fun & encouraging signs as this years mission.
The kids will be given more freedom if accountable & work on consistency. |

He meant picked up off of waivers from us if we send him to Utica |

TG stated his systems to be put in place. This will be very interesting.
Bomber will run the D
Newell the forwards & PP with TG overseeing it.
That much i do know.
Now given we have last years roster pretty much albeit younger hopefully TG will get more out of everything. Very hard not to ๐ |

Idk but our strength is on the wing.
Scoring was fine & we got more in trades.
The Sedins will be better i would bet on.
LE will bounce back but not as a $6m UFA...25/25
Playmaking C is where our biggest hole is.
D scoring was simply horrible.
Winger assets could be trade bait but idk if in the forseeable future yet.
Too early IMO to be trading any.
Stable D & Tending r priorities.
The PP is atrocious & can only get better.
Building up Utica is a huge goal. - Nighthawk
We do indeed have alot of wingers, unfortunately none of them are very good (yet). We need to see more than a few 30 point range players. Sven, Ek and Granlund need to produce.

Ok where does he fit in? - Nighthawk
As much as I like him, I dont see Boeser getting top 6 minutes. Nor do I see Goldy getting them either. I have doubts there will be a steady top-6 this season so Yak could bounce up/down/in/out of the lineup.
I do think he would have an advantage over JV to be on the opening day roster. JV could always play bottom 6 NHL, needs more time in AHL where he can be confident producing offense IMO |

I would be surprised if Boeser is not top 6.
Being with Sutter who does not playmake well is folly IMO
His scoring touch alone makes him top 6 automagically
Granny could be back as 4C
JV best suited on the 3/4 line to start off with.
Bring speed & banging & scoring til he gains more ice time.
He can move up n down the line up on merit or need.
If sent back to Utica its not a demotion persay.
Competition on wing is a good thing not a disappointment if he is in Utica.
He comes to camp on a mission & he will stick.
He has the skill set if he brings his lunch bucket every game. |

I do, after using Hansen/Burrows I think the forward lines are:
Dank Hank LE
Granlund Bo Boeser
Baertschi Sutter JV
Dorsett- some terrible Free agent pickup- Gaunce
Like the 2nd line, hate everything else |

I agree he has the scoring ability deserving of a top-6, and I do think he will play there on occasion. I just dont think he will play more than 30 games in that role, only because a) hes a rookie and b) hes been playing 40/games per year. He will have his ups and downs, which is why I think him and a few others will get chances in the role but not consistently there.
If I had to predict who will see the most time in a top-6 role, I would guess Sedins, LE, Bo, Sven and Granlund. Followed by Sutter, Boeser, Goldobin in that order

I think he will produce, but its a lot to ask of him to go up against top pairings for 82 games when he's been playing 40 the past couple years.
This isnt a knock on him, I think they will be smart about his deployment and shield him for the first third of the season and probably get him a lot of PP minutes too |

Why do so many think Boeser is being gifted a spot in the line up. He needs to spend at least a full season in Utica. We will be lucky if he becomes a 3rd liner. |

ya, definitely don't agree. He has first line potential and I truly believe he scores 20 goals next season. Kid is amazing. |

Given your lines I'd say LE might be on the Sedin if chemistry is re-ignited.
Granny had chemistry there already.
So if not on the 1st line moving to C makes more sense.
Frees up a winger spot for competition.
Sven & BO work good together & no need to bump Sven down.
Sutter is a 200' player & not a puck distributor so that hurts Sven.
We have too many top 6 winger type potential creating lots of competition.
Its both a good & bad thing.
Our need for 30-40 goal scorers is a Boeser & maybe LE |

marginal question. Boeser is arguably our best winger. Partially because we suck but also because he has high end skill. |
