I always liked the big dog, he actually thinks the game at a pretty high level considering he is essentially Ogre from revenge of the nerds. |

With how broke that league and most of it's teams are and the fact that already a whole team died in a plane crash (RIP Demitra), it amazes me that Russians prefer to play there than in NA even if it's just the AHL. At least here you'd get paid on time and in full. - DariusKnight
Been waiting for you to be around. Thoughts on Lind? I feel like you might be extra in love with the pick, I am not but I only watched him play one game and am curious what you think being the Rockets connoisseur |

Just search him on youtube for highlight footage.
He's a quick thinking goalscorer for sure.
Personally Im more into gadjovich, he reminds me of bertuzzi a bit wo the attitude. Seems to power his way around defenders easy and score with one hanging off him. I really miss that on our team. |

I havent been much impressed by him, as I said. Darius keeps a close eye on the Rockets, maybe knows something I haven't seen. From the tape, I like that he can skate, wrister is decent but not much else going. |

knock on gadjovich is he's slow. I like the profile and swagger of the kid, needs a skating coach and to put that wrk in. |

What's your 2018 top 5 picks?
These are even better than lineup predictions imo - dbot
Given how things change over draft year season I'll say these are best candidates for top 5 in 2018.
1 Andrei Svechnikov RW Muskegon (USHL) 6' 2" 185
2 Rasmus Dahlin D Frolunda HC (SHL) 6' 1" 165
3 Jared McIssac D Halifax (QMJHL) 6' 2" 209
4 Joe Veleno C Saint John (QMJHL) 6' 1" 190
5 Quinton Hughes D USAH-NTDP 5' 10" 176
6 Ryan McLeod C Mississauga (OHL) 6' 1.25" 183
7 Jett Woo D Moose Jaw (WHL) 6' 0" 202
8 Evan Bouchard D London (OHL) 6' 2" 178
9 Bode Wilde D Chicago Mission (MWEHL) 6' 2" 194
10 Brady Tkachuk C London (OHL) 6' 2" 195
11 Filip Zadina RW Vancouver (WHL) 6' 0" 198
12 Akil Thomas C Niagara (OHL) 5' 11" 170
13 Oliver Wahlstrom C USNTDP (USHL) 6' 1" 198
14 Nando Eggenberger RW Davos (NLA) 6' 2" 190
Canucks with lotto pick can get a great D or another top C with this crop. |

He's not exactly a big power forward either. He powers his way around junior but he won't be considered a big man in the NHL. I like the pick... but he's not 6-4-240

Listen to his draft interview. Or read more. He's got a skating coach. He's been working with her for a few years and has improved a lot and will do even more. Hasty judgment with no facts makes for poor opinion. |

Hey (frank)wit, I don't speak with you so keep your retard to yourself and don't speak to me and I will never speak to you. I've listened to his interviews, I've also watched his tape. He's a little (frank)ing slow, not unlike you. That is a fact, based on evidence not words a guy says in a interview. |

Well Lucic is 6' 3" | 236 lb now at 29. Gadj at 18 is 6'2" 205lbs. He'll put on more muscle plus add power to his legs as he gets older. But he'll be big enough to take on anyone cause it's a lot about determination and spirit that wins you battles. He's got tons of that to go along with his hand eye and soft hands. Look for the kid to be a net front presence. |

6'2 and 201 at 18 isnt bad. Bert only had 1" and 35 lbs on him once he was full grown. I have no doubt this kid can add 30+ by age 24.
Remember he's only barely 18. |

For a guy wanting to improve his speed, I doubt he's going to be adding 30+, even if he can do it. He'll probably add another 5-10 pounds of muscle by the times he's 22-23, but I doubt he'll add any more than that since he sees pretty self aware about his strengths and weaknesses. |

fair enough.
He didnt look unusually slow in the video footage from his league, but perhaps its slow by nhl standards then which makes sense being an nhl prospect. |

5-10 is very low gain for someone that age
most men add a good 30 lbs or more from 18 to 25 as they "fill out" developing their bodies width and thickness. This is normal and depends on several factors such as metabolism and genetics.
Myself I added 50 lbs between 18 and 20 and another 40 from 20-25 but my genetics allow for that |

I'm not saying he's not capable of doing it. I'm saying that he'll probably choose not to do it in order to be fast enough for the NHL. Playing at 210 or 215 pounds for a 6'2" player is quite common the NHL. I can't see him playing at over 220+ and getting faster than he is right now.
Training to play in the NHL and bodybuilding are two totally different things brah |

I saw what you were saying but Im saying just normally growing you add quite a bit by 25 or so. This is normal without training, its just normal development. The amount of cardio in hockey will take down this normal amount a slight bit though.
Yes those 2 types of training are radically different, not even close
Btw if youre referring to me, I dont bodybuild. I do powerlift however, which is very different. |

Lower body power and leg muscle for skating will be the big weight add ons and for his frame 20-30lbs is an easy add which would all be about improved skating. |
