I really liked Gionta's game last year. Had more points than Cullen too but in more games. Plus Gionta already knows the teammates and has chemistry. Like Gionta as a 3RW more than Cullen as a 4C for similar cost most likely.

There is no way that trade is sitll up in the air unless Compher really does play as good as I think he can as a legit 2C.

Zads has been mediocre at best for Colorado. He was demoted and suspended by them already since we traded him there. Does he still have a good ceiling? Yea absolutely but with those problems plus missing a flight back in Buffalo. The track record is not looking up to meet that potential.

(I do trade for Compher back in every NHL video game tho.. Dude is a beast)

There is no way that trade is sitll up in the air unless Compher really does play as good as I think he can as a legit 2C.

In my old age, I don't run to declare winners in trades anymore like I used to. Let's see how this plays out, there still is a lot of hockey left from both sides.

Bc they didnt like his decision making, was being caught standing still too much, and felt he was rushed in Buffalo. Avs are trying to get a 100 AHL games under their prospects feet before heading to the big club.

But I guess when Sakic said that its the long plan for Zads to ensure he reaches all his potential that it must bc he was suspended by the team, doing hookers and drugs being a bad guy and Sakic is just lying to the media covering up this guy.
