hes a solid top 6 foward but give the age they signed him at this is as good as it will get and at some point his performance will tail off.

It makes sense if you're a contender, which makes the signing kind of bizzare

There is a part of me that wishes we never signed him or traded for O'reilly (this will get heat). i truly believe we would be better off both financially and depth wise for the future.

its not just that. we picked 8th this year and last year. i assume a version of this team that doesnt have those guys probably picks top 5 both years.

Compher+Zads+ maybe Matthews or Laine (or even Pujujaarvi)+ cap space.


I love ROR as a 2nd line center, but I think the trades were the worst part of this rebuild.
