I already told you... Elliot is signing in Winnipeg. It's done.

Hey Ek has to report every available goalie going to Philly, that way he can claim that he called it.

Hasn't that been their position for the past ten years?

That was my thought as well. I believe that "Philadelphia" comes from the Latin term for "where goaltender's careers go to die"

Currently the Flyers are in a rare position of uncertainty heading into this season in goal.

This is my rumour... When Ek met Shania Twain he told her that his name was Google because he was everything she was searching for. Her response was Boy Bye.

No it's a Latin term for "where the value of great goaltending is underestimated."

Bobrovsky had (and obviously still has) all the skill in the world while he was a Flyer, but he had 3 major things going against him in Philly at the time. 1) He was a young Russian 2) They had a lousy goaltending coach and finally 3) Encountered a bad organizational mindset on the importance of quality goaltending.

4) The Flyers made an utterly putrid decision, trading him

That was also something working against him in Philly.

Yeah, they traded him for a 2nd, and 2 4ths.

Which turned out to be, Anthony Stolarz, Taylor Leir and they traded away the other 4th.

hate to burst everyone's bubble on bob, but he has not exactly lit the world on fire in the playoffs. if the flyers gave him 7 mill and he performed like he has in the playoffs in philly and columbus the same folks on this board would be critical.

including the isles fan on this board who knows a thing or two about a goaltending carousel and overpaying keepers…

lets let bob do something, anything in the playoffs before we anoint him the next roy or parent. lets let bob even look remotely comfortable on the big stage before we toss stones.. the guy is a deer in the headlights in the playoffs. honestly at this stage of his career he has not shown more than Cechmanek. would welcome that discussion. I know bob is normal and roman was nuts, but their play up until now is pretty similar.

with that said, i would take bob back in a heartbeat, but maybe watch a little playoff hockey before we use him as some kind of use case supporting the orange and blacks goaltending problems.

Every possibly available starting goaltender to the one team that needs a #1 goalie!

if trophys are the goal, pretty sure the preference would be a con smythe or lord stanley.. how about we start with winning a series or two. again i also would take bob over the goalies in orange and black right now, but that ain't saying all that much.
