One thing I noticed about Scandella, he takes very few penalties. Averages about 20 PIM per season.

Pommers should have won a Lady Byng by now, IMO.

We dumped two penalty prone, injury prone forwards for two reliable, responsible players.

There's no way this trade didn't improve the team significantly.

I seriously don't hate Evander Kane.

I hate the trade, and constant over rating of a guy who hasn't eclipsed 50 points in 6 years.

He's a pretty good player I have been harsh on because the GM that traded for him was a moron. I truly don't think an extension is a good idea.

Of course I am a little unfair to him. We all have those players.

Pysyk was your Kane. Ennis was Stripes Kane. Miller was Homie's Kane.

If anything, it should create some healthy competition amongst the D. Bogo's gotta be feeling some heat. Botts put himself in a good position. Bogo could be a deadline deal regardless if the Sabres are in it if he is playing well. Bring Guhle up to take his place at the deadline.

I don't have very high expectations for Scandella, but Pommer can go back to not having to be the dude and could have a nice year. Looking forward to actually seeing some shorthanded chances playing with ROR.

Bogo isn't the deadline deal type guy, not for another 3 years.

Gorges maybe. But certainly not Bogo. He's strictly a cap dump unless he turns into PK Subban lite.

Also Scandella is fairly underrated.
