This is part of the rebuild plan as Canucks see it by signing Gagner. Not rushing in prospects and developing them with veteran buffer.

The book is Gagner would make a better 2C as offensive distributor then Sutter. When Hank retires that will be more pressing and Bo fills in as 1C until prospect develops to bump him off.

Not a slight agianst Bo . If you have Horvat as a third then you will have one solid team

Horvat's progression is a solid 2C. We are totally ok with him in that role. I see what you are saying but it's going to be tough to get better than Horvat for 2C long-term.

Del Zotto we need . Gagner I'd take a pass on. We need an even strength scoring option not Gagner and he never really impressed vs western teams when he was in EDM…although he did have a 7 point game vs CHI…lol

2 its obvious but Gagner is not 1.
Pettersson & yes Thkachuk maybe but thats years away & by then BO will be even better & entrenched in top roles. If BO is bumped to 3C we will be contending.

I am saying these players they are bringing in are better than last years players.

There are no Connor McDavids signing with Canucks this year so they have to take substantial upgrades over last year. That is all that is available to us.
