That's my point. Gerbe is saying he can "keep up". I know he loves the Sharks, but Marleau isn't the player he used to be. If he was he'd already be signed back with the Sharks. And he wouldn't have been stripped of his "C" and then his "A". He scored 24 less points last year than he did 3 years ago. People talk about him like he's some mythical creature. He's going to be 38 when this season starts. His stats have been in free fall for a few years, coming to a team that can't score goals what do you think that would do to his stats?

I was at the Florida game last year and he was absolutely brutal. Sure, he is still a wizard in front of the net but he was killing them all over the rest of the ice.
