We will have to check Nighthawks 2022 roster listings then to know for sure
- VANTEL

Would it be something like

Tavares-McDavid-Stamkos
Matthews-Seguin-Marner
Drouin-Draisatl-Patrick
Hischier-Mackinnon-Laine

I still see a teenager inside of JV. He is playing against men and sometimes he looks scared or trying to hide. He is a 20 year old kid told to go bang men 30 years old that are 6'3 and bigger. That is a big ask of a kid his size and age. I think he will get more confident as years go on

1 more year in the AHL will do him some good. find his game/

Not by much. Miller was our rock and Markstrom was weak last season. Two B goalies are fighting for a spot now. Rookie coach again... still very weak defensively even with MDZ...

These players give the coach the ability to teach our very young players structured hockey.... but I don't think for a minute that it gives us a better shot at crawling out of the basement... none the less... if we move out of top 3 lotto spots because our kids are learning to play properly... what are you to do? You can't just have your developing players chasing the puck their entire early years... you need to put some skill around them. I also expect to lose more vets soon as well. I feel this is LE last season here. 27 is becoming the new 30 something very soon for this team.

Great points! Hah I have more faith in the unproven Green rather than the hard trap Desjardins was relying on.

Better power play with gags though. Should solve the "Edler is always injured so we have no outlet from the point" problem.

That's most projected Leaf's rosters in a few years.

Some kids have bigger stones than others. Tkachuk has Sutter sized balls

You wont know if its a good draft for 5 to 10 years.
- Bettmanhatesus

It seems some only believe it's a good draft of the kids play for you.
Tree is a decent player, just because he booked home for momma doesn't make it a bad pick.
14 was a good draft, so was 15 16 and 17. I can't wait for 18

I wore 14 in Sweden, but Burrows wore that for #Canucks. I'll find another number. Any suggestions?

Gaudette and Dahlen having fun on Twitter also . Sorry Lefty he seems to like it here.

I agree with Lefty on this . It is only a good pick if it benefits the hockey club . Excuses don't matter.

It easy to say that when our prize still has some development to go.

I think that will all evetually disappear once we have a D-man dictating the flow and pace of a guy like or similar to Duncan Keith.

Not that I want to place expectations or say this guy is the next so and so, but implying that we don't need players like that is shortsighted.

Sure... Tkachuk is paying dividends right now, but Juolevi will too... Just not right away... We are sorely lacking on the backend.

That's pretty classy... But why not honor his number by being an even better version?

Otherwise retire the number.

I would rather fail with youth and trying new things rather than returning old players and trying the same failed thing over and over.
- VANTEL

I agree strongly with the bolded part. Gradin Sundstrom Sundin Henrik never got us a Cup. It never worked trying to have a Swede as a #1 center, why not keep trying it.

My guess is Gaudette never signs with the Canucks. I don't get the sense he wants to be a Canucks.

It's not about playing it's about having a good career. If Demko becomes a starter and JV has a good career as a third liner it will be considered slightly better than a normal draft.

Yup. Not sure how they aren't relevant when analyzing the draft
