He's pretty damn hard to knock off the puck.
Can you honestsly say that about LE?
Does he lack that fire we love to see in hockey?
YES. Absolutely.
But if your assertion that Marleau is a bigger wussy than LE ... I am sorry...
No matter how much LE practices... He's fricken 2 ply. - rugdnit
you mean 10 ply right |

Ive seen him not retrieve a puck because he's afraid of some players.....like bieksa for example - SMBDragon
It's easy to say that that about any player.
Who knows what the exact circumstances were.
Was he playing injured? Was it a game that meant something?
Sometimes knowing the whole story helps paint the picture.
I have seen Patty take stretches of games off.
82 regular season games + playoffs is a looong grind.
In any case... Patrick Marleau is a better player than LE.
Laughing at Leafs fans while in our current situation seems pretty damn petty through any lens.
Furthermore even if they get the ship righted... Seems pretty childish to troll another teams fan base.

Again he was scorer in Jr & a 3rd liner for a stacked NYI team at C.
He knew how to adapt & did it well. No doubts about smarts n savvy here.
We r gonna luv him.
Coach Q was a so so player but similar in nature. - Nighthawk
I agree on green.
Im actually not a big fan of coach Q, think he's way over rated due to others in the organization making him look better than he is.
But green has impressed me so far with his thoughts and input. Really think we may have the right guy for our team and the right coaching staff as well. Feeling pretty good about going into this season with this crew.
Add the new players and ya we may very well have a good season |

not when they come to our room and heckle us it isnt.
2011 playoffs rd 2, I specifically recall Marleau avoiding the puck he could have easily gotten but was too close to bieksa who 2 games earlier beat the piss outta him, so he skated away from it and bieksa blasted the game winner on that player to seal the sharks demise.
Several times Ive seen that from him. For such a decent sized guy he sure is wimpy |

Burm: Yes, if he has a good season.
Weirdcoc*: Probably not, but theres a chance still. The return would be little.
MDZ and Nilsson: Not this year, but next year they could.
Gagner: No. Again not till his last year I would imagine. - storm88
That's how it's done son
With prospects breaking through expect one of Sven and Granlund added to list as their RFA status approaches and they look for a pay day.
You could add Boucher or Rodin to 2018 trade list if they pumped up any value. But then again might get extended if there ask is low enough for more stop gap depth. |

The laugh is that they are convinced the rebuild is over and to go for it now. The last team to qualify for a wild card spot when at least 3 teams Bolts etc were having a down year. They were after Thorton as well but he played them to get more $ from Sharks. |

Our depth on wing with prospects means someone will go either at the TDL or next season. Too many bodies & moved before UFA status arrives. |

It is pretty much over. They had some pieces in place already that have matured. Then they got lucky in the lottery. They need help on D. But time to strike while guys like Matthews, Nylander and Marner are making peanuts.
FWIW, I wish I was making peanuts. |

Matured pieces? Like who? So if they miss the playoffs and then start turning into the Avs short sighted rebuild you'll be saying what?
Anyway, it's obvious they think it's over and they think they are a contender with a closing window. Like Booner has said watch the trading of futures and signing of big contracts happening.
Canucks have measured layered approach going on many levels. Seen this team change a lot last four years. If they get any lotto luck next draft it's going to be a good turn around with cover at all positions. Would help if some of the later round drafts pan out and Tree returns or gets moved to fill a hole. |

Why is bieksa fighting Marleau ?
He always was good at picking his spots I guess |

Kadri, JVR, Gardner, Reilly have been there a few years. They are trying, without sacrificing their future. Why not? That being said, one broken leg for AM and they could be lottery team again. |
