D Aoust too i think is that style. Utica could be fun to watch - VANTEL
Probably more fun too watch than the parent club. A few more skilled guys would be nice to add to that pool. |

I was just looking at the buy out cost of Dorsett . Savings of 1.666,666 this year and next . Cap hit 933,333 this year and next and 833.333 the following two years.
Is he a forgotten player? Injury Reserve ? Play him? - VANTEL
Let's him play, makes that fourth line harder to play against. Good work ethic. |

So word on the street is the Leafs had a successful rebuild, accelerated by the fact they had several good young players in their system already, but the Canucks have no luck so we're doomed for eternity.
Did I get that right - LeftCoaster

I find it hilarious that the two franchises are even comparable when it comes to rebuilding. They were stacking players long before they got some lotto luck and drafted Matthews. |

I kind of wish I could go see some of the development camp. I kind of had my eye on Nick Isaacson. Saw the Pete's on TV twice this year. Thought maybe a late bloomer type. Was pretty much his first season on an older Pete's team. |

I think Canucks did get a C rating this year at free agency. Lets face it there was no wow signings.
The problem I have with the East Coast ass hats is they also had a C rating free agency but instead of being realistic got on their knees and once again gave public fellatio to the Maple Leafs for signing aged players.
Hainsey Marleau and Moore are below average stupid signings .
Where the hell is the sanity of trying to move JVR who is younger cheaper and scored more to bring in Marleau and move out JVR? |

I think they believe JVR has good trade value, I don't, so they're trying to move him for a defenseman. |

Canucks Army have a very good write up on a realistic look of how free agency went for Canucks this year.
Gagner is a C+
Bumistrov is a B
They point out that the bad ratings come from idiots like Jeff Oneil and Ken Campbell who have had a strong hatred for Canucks since the beginning of time. They also point out that both of those fools couldn't count to three if you handed them a calculator and a laptop. |

I struggle to listen to the media because they really don't get it. Van didn't sign anyone that would make anyone think that the whole part of it was to "compete" for a playoff spot. JB said it that they wanted to have NHL players, so they weren't forced to play the kids. Signing Gagner and Del Zotto is just about helping out. Burmy and Rodin, Weircioch just depth signings.
Not as if they went out and signed Shattenkirk or Radulov |

I just don't think a soft winger holds a lot of value. His production is largely a product of playing with good offensive players. What did Washington just get for Johansson? |

Don't know - VANTEL
The Canucks said that Granlund "had an ongoing wrist injury" when they announced that he would be shutdown to undergo surgery, but the extent of the issue wasn't initially revealed. As it turns out, he broke the ligaments on October 25th, but still managed to score 19 goals and 32 points in 69 games this season. He's expected to need three-to-five months to recover, so he should be okay for the 2017-18 campaign. Mar 23 - 11:31 AM
So according to this report he had surgery late March and 5 months would be end of August ready to go. |

2nd and 3rd. Bit of a cap dump deal though.
Usually a 30-40 point player (lars Eller, Andrew Shaw) were traded for 2-2nds. |
