Loui territory - VANTEL
Loui Plays a great 2 way game. I think a new coach and system will pay dividends for Loui and others as far as goals go. I don't see us at the bottom of the league in the goals department this year. Thats not to say we won't be at the bottom of the league. |

Gagner aint scoring no 20+ goals with this roster. Edler won't even pass to a wide-open Boeser on the PP you think Gagner is going to get a pass from Edler or the 4-pass Sedins??

Agree LE will be better. It's all about being utilized properly. WD bounced him around so much last year he never had a chance to get comfortable with his linemates. Hoping Green will leave him on a line for more than 6 games. |

Has there been any news on contract negotiations with Bo? I assume based on what people are getting paid, we're looking at around $6M for him on a 5-6 year deal... Sound about right? |

Stars overpaid for Radulov, but damn that roster looks nice.
Added: Hitchcock/Bishop/Methot/Hanzal/Radulov
Lost: Ruff/Hemsky/Sharp/Eakin/Niemi
Eakin and Niemi sucked last year, Hemsky barely played, Sharp is decent still but was playing through an injury as well.
Plus they had a poop load of injuries last year so If they still healthy, that's a playoff team |

It's a safe bet to say he'll be better, but I'm not expecting some massive rebound to 25+ goals
Plus that would ruin the tank |

And our FO % is 45% - VANTEL
Consistency will go up with proper matchups in both zones. I remember numerous times last season where Valk and Ferrero and many others made comments as to why WD had the centres taking face-offs after a whistles on there weak side in the offensive and defensive zones. (Why didn't they change?)
WD was not a good coach. He was a great players coach and I believe he still had the locker room but he lacked in so many other areas it was silly. He should know his players weaknesses a little better than that. |

Add Tanev and you can make a deep run in the playoffs. |

Suddenly LE, sutter and dorsett and edler and sbisa contracts don't look all that awful when Sbisa is gone, we bring in a bunch of above average free agents on cap friensly deals, and bergevin, nill, brian mclellan and LL are dishing out. Every team has a few gross contracts now |

GM's have been saved by compliance buyouts in the past, but then they repeat those same mistakes. It gets worse every year as well since the market just keeps inflating.
This is why having cap space is an amazing asset and even rebuilding teams should care about cap hits. If the cap stays the same next year then a lot of teams are going to be desperate to shed salary and teams with plenty of cap space are going in dry, those teams also control the UFA market as well.
All that leverage and power |

If Sutter and Dorsett were traded at TDL and Sedins not extended, Canucks could be one of the few teams then that could offer Tavares max salary and still have room to sign another big name |

Its a good dream. I won't ruin it for you.
A top 2 centre combo of Tavarez and Horvat is a really good dream. |

Dallas has added Radulov, Hanzal, Methot and Bishop in 1 offseason.
That is a very active off season |

I am not a fan of Gagne. I think he takes a spot that that he could literally lose in the preseason.
The same could be said of Burtisimov and Del Zotto. - thundachunk
Who do we have that could potentially score 50 points? No one. Our roster sucks |

Precisely. Adding those players don't mean squat if they keep losing. We'll see how all those new players adjust to a new environment, coaching, systems...etc etc. |

Weaknesses addressed though...plus they had a poop load of injuries last year.
They'll make the playoffs if healthy and won't be a team that teams want to play against in round 1. |

I still question their Defence. While issues have been addressed it is still up in the air. |
