Benning, and more importantly Aquilini, need to have patience and build towards the future. - LeftCoaster
Totally, no expectations next season. Last season I enjoyed watching Tryamkin, this year it will be someone else. Add the Rocket's and Vee's, I'm okay |

And that's the reason he gets .5mil over Hank....oh and the extra 5pts of course - Makita
Are you guys really that dense?
Twenty seven year old Turris leads his club to the semi finals . Old man Henrik gets bumped down and maybe didn't see the inside of the defensive zone in the second half of the season. |

They get paid to produce not win races. - LeftCoaster
Turris 27 28 55
Toews 28 30 58
Two busts can't outscore old man Hank |

Like Vantel said yesterday, I'd rather watch Gagner, MDZ and Burmistrov than Cramarossa Megna and Chaput. |

I am a little dense to be honest lol.....I'd love to have Turris over Henrik old balls, I just wouldn't overpay him by that much is all I'm saying. |

Anyone thinking they are getting Turris for 5 mil next year is dreaming. He is the second best center available next free agency |

It would be a long shot to land him. Plus he knows what a sh*t show it is to play in your home town. He either stays in Ottawa or goes to the US.
As you were. |

He'll be 29 when he hits free agency, he'll want a seven year deal, that would put us in the Henrik territory. Old and overpaid. Something to be concerned with imo. |

Or he could be a hometown hero that helps his city get past the 50 year curse in 6 years.
We are bad now but a couple of more nice drafts and we won't be. |

yeah maybe so, although I don't think you understand.
No one is advocating Hank over Turris, Turris isn't worth 7.5, and Hank isn't worth 7.
We all know your stance on the Sedins, but a discussion revolves around several other opinions. Everyone wants change, it's time to move forward.
I cannot not see Turris in Vancouver, and never at 7.5 |

I think they're five years away yet, they may be much more competitive in three years if Pettersson and a couple of those wingers are the real deal but they need time to develop. |

McDavid is 13 mil.
Toews Kane ( the next tier down is at 9-10 mil ) Draisitl
The next tier down will be 7.5 mil.
Do you think Shattenkirk is worth 6.5?
Better get use to the new salaries |

I did say 6 years they will be competing as a top team if they have more drafts like this year. |

I look forward to watching him play in Europe and tournaments.
I also think Gagner will do some good things as well.

For sure, proving the kids actually turn out to be good players, we don't know that yet. 2014 looked like one of our best drafts ever and we've pretty much got nothing left but Demko who's still a question mark. |

As long as one player from each draft becomes a top end player I am okay with that. |

2014 was the best ever, until JV started to drink towards Kassian status and Tryamkin decided to bolt for Russia. If Tryamkin were still here we wouldn't be talking poop about the 2014 draft. |

Yup...that's the norm, two players is considered an excellent draft in NHL circles. |

The TSN panel is a joke calling the Canuck's losers in free agency, saying these signings were to support the Sedins.
~Needed a goalie
~Lost a D to vegas, signed two reasonable replacements
~Upgraded a weak C position, again with reasonable contracts
Aside from Ray Ferraro, the disconnect and ignorance from that station is mind boggling.
- VanHockeyGuy
Even Ferraro was acting brutal about the signings. Him and that asshat O'Neil instantly jumped to the conclusion that Van is trying to make the playoffs. We lost a goalie, we replaced him. We lost 2 dmen, we replaced them. We lost 2 vet forwards at the TDL, we replaced them with a younger vet and a kid, if given the right opportunity, could turn out to be an absolute steal.
Those so called experts should really think before they speak. Their credibility goes out the window when they start acting like Pratt when they talk. |
