Ryan Murray, who is easily a top 4 or top pairing d-man in 25 teams in the league has been sitting there for months waiting to get traded to the Avs. Columbus can make up a good package for Duchene, but your GM thinks he can wait until someone overpays so much they cut off their nose to spite their face to get him. It isn't happening.

So you GM sits there and watches his trade value shrink every day. Is that what you want?

The fact that anybody in Colorado thinks you're getting a Hanafin or Werenski tier player for Duchene is part of the problem.

thats the common theme from CBJ fans...Murray is a legit top 4 bc of the minutes he can log

No hes a good third pairing dman based on his results with potential to jump into the TOp 4 under the right circumstances but cant see that happening with the Avs.

Murray is being over valued as we are being told we are over valuing Duchene...but at least dutch has produced as a high lvel for multiple seasons. Murray hasnt done much to date

Murray never torched junior hockey offensively, and his nhl numbers as a shutdown D don't look very good. This would be the ROR trade all over again, disaster. (frank) that noise.

I totally agree with you. Murray, Ceci, Beaulieu, Maatta....all those names tossed out by other fan bases are a dime a dozen Dman with little to no upside to what they are now and chances are will get much worse vs better.

Dont want any of those gambles, dont want any of these future packages liek the ROR deal...I still think the deal was fair and will work out for the Avs, but being trolled for 3 years bc of it, not worth the wait.

so im totally on board of just holding onto Duchene if no team is smart enough to give the proper assets. They act like only his value could diminish next season so we should be happy with what we are offered now. Ill say the opposite of you thought Dutch was pricey now, wait til he rebounds from his career low. A player like him isnt going to double down on his low totals.
