They look so good together, it's hard to want to separate them and to stick with it. Daniel did not shoot as much last year as he normally does. Henrik needs someone who is going to shot.
Some yesterday said that Daniel they think is better then Henrik but I think it's the other way around. Henrik is the set up man, he needs someone who's going to shoot and score. - manvanfan
Believe the fear on Hank is as aa center can he continue to skate well enough to cover the ice as opposed to winging it Danny. |

Expecting that wonder if Labate and Chaput do it too. Then Canucks can choose to walk away if they don't like the reward.
But wonder what the hold up is on Gaunce. That kid has zero leverage. |

He needs players that play with speed. That are also responsible enough defensively. Sort of like the HBK line from last year. Hagelin and Kessel with the speed and Bonino just feeding them the puck.
Unfortunately Van doesn't really have those type of players right now. Maybe Loui and boeser. |

I think it more so has to do with the fact that he doesn't want to play in the AHL anymore. Wants a 1 way contract (salary arbitration would assure the contract is 1 way as per CBA). |

Gagner, Rodin, Goldy, Burmistrov, JV could be linemate options for Boucher that play with speed and skill. |

I am not as hard on Boucher as some are in here. He was the canucks most active shooter per 60, and by a lot. For a team that is so desperate to score, giving boucher 1 million for 1 year would not be the worst thing ever |

And where are those shots coming from? |
|
|
|
I would like to see the Sedins and Loui as the third line this year and add speed to the top two lines
Bo Granlund and Goldobin maybe Sutter Gagne Boeser as the top two lines .
I do realize I haven't penciled in Sven |

56th in the NHL overall for shots per 60. Not that bad really |

Yeah can see that and him wanting a one way like Rodin in case he's sent down. Would make sense for Canucks to insulate waivability.
He'll have to battle it out for a spot at camp. Skating and being in shape is what he needs to work on to succeed. |

If Reid Boucher was the highlite of last season then yes, it was really that bad. |

I tuned in to every game last night because of my allegiance to this team.
I tuned out pretty fukkin quick every game aswell.
Could care less how competetive this team is in the near future, Just provide and entertaining product on the ice in these losing years and i'll be happy than hell.
But if I have to watch anything remotely similar to that garbage last year........

Thanks!
The Boeser "man among boys" stands out to me. I figured he was a good bet to make the club, but this has me confident we wont be seeing anyone else from this group make a serious challenge for a roster spot this year |

Even without going to UBC again today, it has still taken me this long to cobble together today's blog.
Running down the defense and goaltenders, and musing on whether Alex Burmistrov will turn out to be a secret weapon on the power play next season:
