I think we pay more attention to the post season now that the regular season is so awful. The only entertainment during the regular season is management contradicting each other.

I think an AHL start the following year is best case. Let him move to the smaller rink and see how he does in the physical play. Even if he gains 20 pounds over the next year, he will be light for his size so I agree that patience will be required

I hope EP is AHL next year. He only really needs around 20 lbs for NHL. NHL is not about weight it's about strength.

I don't know , he didn't look out of place last year , he was just missing some strength . He is a smart player. Let see how strong he looks at camp. We will see.

Exactly and will have played 2 years against men. With today's modern training and his age maturity, kicking in, adding 30 pounds of muscle is very much within reach for his height.

EP will have just as much a shot to make it as the Sedins did. They broke into what was then a much more physical league that now has turned to speed and skill.

If Sedins retire wouldn't be surprised if EP breaks onto next seasons roster as a 3/4C. But if not, he'll work his way up from Comets after adjustments are made in season.

Fair comment, I wasnt saying he cant be an NHLer if he adds 20 pounds, but I think he might be on the lighter side as I was looking at EP's comparables like Backstrom (213) and F.Forsberg (205) who at 6'-1"

Of the 96 NHLers who are 6'-2" and played 40+ games last year, Henrik is 95th in terms of weight, tied with Ryan Miller's brother at 183 pounds (apparently Daniel is listed as an inch shorter and 7 pounds heavier, FWIW)
