I truly wish they could just do a 1 for 1 at this juncture with the Canes or
the Bruins. Either Carlo for #9 or the Canes Hanifin for Matt. It's okay to
ask for other pieces , but this chess game is getting pretty drawn out, and
the Avs pieces are falling off the chess board every 2 weeks. None of here know
what exact pieces Sakic has been offered, but I think we all have decent hockey and
sports mind to figure out that Joe is just not being smart about this . Unless they
have personally sat down with Matt and told them what they are doing here, and asked him to just lay low until a trade is made, or just report to camp if Nobody
is going to give with Joe wants. It's a very poor approach long term for any such
trading partners to deal with the Avs if Sakic is actually dangling Duchene just for the hell of it to see if there are any stupid Gms out there who will dish the 3 or 4 pieces. |

If a player with 2 years left wants out, you don't get equal value back in ONE piece. You get multiple pieces that add to that one player.

There is to many assumptions that people are making based on rumoured information...most of it is coming from Islanders beat writers. Someone is spoon feeding them a narrative that helps paint Snow in a better light. Wonder why that might be the case
Ring ring ring....
Snow: Hi Joe, we are interested in Matt, we will offer Hamonic for him
Sakic: Hi Garth, we aren't interested in Hamonic, we are only entertains the idea of moving duchene for a 25 and younger NHL Dman or NHL ready Prospect
Snow: I see, what about a 1st rounder too
Sakic: ummm thanks but you don't have one anymore and we aren't interested in Hamonic at all
Snow: OK OK what about a prospect not named Barzal or Beauvillier
Sakic: Im hanging up now
Report: Sakic turns down Hamonic 1st and prospect |

@DDM-Coga Not even close. Hopkins is small and soft. Nolan is big and tough not even close to the same player. His injury issues this year were due to a misdiagnosis as well |

Exactly is what I say. Sorry but that is value going between 2 teams fairly DAH. A deal such as 1 for 1 at this juncture such as Carlo for #9 or Hanifin for #9 is plenty fair. No other additional draft picks I said need to be tossed in. Duchene is still not chump change and most likely he would be willing to sign wherever he goes to as long as there is some top talent for him to gel with. So anyone with a hockey brain should know that you also don't just give away players either. I was being realistic on my trade suggestion and still get a critical comeback lmao to each their own. I mean you still have to offer the Avs something more then some sorry crappy prospect and your over paid 28 year D man bla bla I am only suggesting the one for one as Carlo or Hanifin seem like that could be a top 2 or 3 D man and I don't want #9 walking from the Avs in 2 yrs myself. But cracks me up all the GM wannbeeees stating that either take the offer or shove it. Business does not work like that , and I'm not smoking Av crack either so nobody can say jack that I'm being biased and unfair as to my thoughts on how to end this with fair value going in both Directions. |

yeah you don't know jack poop about the Avs, why they are where they are today.
Heres the tip, its bc Roy created this mess along side with Sakic, however one is trying to clean it up and the other pouted and took his ball home bc he didn't get his way anymore

not playing style, their projection. Could be a 1C if they hit all their potential but chances are will just be a good 2C in this league.
Nuge and Patrick share the same projection (and psst Nuge is a pretty decent 2way C, nothing flashy, but respectable in his own game) |

Just love putting guys like you in your place. Come in and talk a lazy narrative joke of oh Roy must have been right. Maybe try a little harder getting complete information on a topic before you act like you know more than a fan of another team.
Heres another free tip, Roy was Vp of Hockey Ops as well and was acting as GM for the 1st year of the era together until Sakic took over (Daniel Briere Trade, Brad Stuart trade and extension, letting stastny go, signing bad extensions to Michell, Holden, Cody McLeod, giving Iggy too much money)...yeah that was all Roy. But I guess that doest count now
Keep on doing you man, you might land a good post soon. |

Subban for Duchene if you can trick Sakic into taking that contract of the Preds hands. Ellis and Josi were better for fraction of the cap hit. If Pens can repeat without Letang, then Preds for sure don't need Subban to win a Cup. He talks a good talk, but get past the babbling BS and arrogance, and you see he's NOT a 9mil defensement...for sure. Sakic wants a "top tier" D man....serve 'em up PK!! |

Sometimes when you see great quantities of smoke but are unable to find a fire...maybe your looking in the wrong place?
Hockey News reported (about a month ago) that Sakic was open to trading Duchene, Landeskog and Barrie. HN also said that Sakic was willing to hear offers on McKinnon.
Maybe the smoke is a screen for other deals being considered. |

Then Cackalacka is your move. They have NHL ready defenseman behind Hanfin. The Bruins after Carlo and McAvoy. Not so much. It's Torey Krug and then a bunch of bullpoop.
If Sakic was willing to take next years 1st and Zboril great. Otherwise holding on to Carlo is better for the Bruins. |
