I'm on the Kane and Turris hometown signing train if they get to UFA...that would nullify a Sedin extension. - Nuck4U

Montreal really dropped the ball on us getting Price for a hometown discount |

How many prospects always talk about improving their skating before they get to the NHL. You are right, the prospects are probably as slow as they have ever been the NHL has just become faster. Reason why players like McDavid and Larkin have early success because they are better skaters then their peers. - manvanfan
I could be wrong ...but I just think prospects didn't need to be as fast years ago to play in the league ...big bodies who were tough could get by ...now they look slow |

He can play with Kane Turris and Johansen maybe both Benns also |

Meh I don't think it was as one sided as people think ...Leon played against the second pairing and not shutdown lines when he's not with Connor ...I bet if Connor isn't there Leon doesn't look half as good |

I think that ship sailed a bit when he signed a 7 year contract that starts this season. |

Arbitration is one year award. He goes UFA next ....?....
Well when the blood comes rushing back to your head you could see the possibility that Kane & Turris could hit UFA in 2018.
The top line opportunity to lead a young team and money opened from NO Sedin contracts plus hometown are nice allures.
IF JB pulls that off he's insulated the rebuild for giving more time and competitive boost to prospects like EP, Dahlen, BB etc. They take up supportive roles until maturing NHL game for more. |

i think it's a positive.
Surely Bo will come under Gally's 4.9/year, unless the term is stretched out. |

By this time next season Canucks probably will have missed the playoffs 4 out 5 years and drafted within the top 6. Loading up another good draft more prospects will hit camp. The key is how well can prospects develop. Those playing pro against men will accelerate their chances for NHL readiness.
So 2018 can be another summer of change. More quality talent prospects in the pool others developed and some UFA signings that add to accelerate the rebuild.
Thus, possible Canuck roster for 2018:
F: Kane, Turris, LE, Granlund, BO, BB, Sven, Goldy, Sutter, Gagner, Dahlen, EP, JV.
D: Tree, Tanev, OJ, Dahlin, Stecher, Guddy, Hutton, MDZ. |
