These almost always get settled before the hearings, just a way for the RFA's to push GM's to get something done and hope to get awarded a 1 way deal for guaranteed NHL dollars.

I like that LaBate hasnt filed for arbitration. Also find it weird only season ticket holders can go to the prospect game, youd think they would want a bigger croud to motivate the prospects.

Great to see prospects and chart their development. We might get some more at main camp but because of the China series seems roster decisions will be made early.

So, not withstanding the RFA contracts left to resolve, the spots at forward to battle out seem to come down to this:

Burmistrov or Chaput
Rodin or Megna
Boucher or Guance
JV or DD
Goldy or BB to battle for Burrows' spot in top 9 but not role.
Gagner added to lock status to take Hansen's spot within top 9.

If not for above would have added more prospects like Dahlen. But there won't be the time at main camp for that and he, like others such as Palmu, will be determined on if they are close. So Canucks can keep them for depth in AHL or send to Europe. As you can see from above 5 more players from those not making Canuck roster will be waived for Comets.

There is a ton of competition for wingers for spots.
Question is cuz of talent or lots of bodies?
I say LE bounces back & Daniel is gifted another spot.

Sven & BB i see back with BO. Svens growth & chemistry makes that obvious & BB did nothing to make a demotion to Utica make much sense. TG may have other ideas on line combos or lets it play out & decide at seasons start idk.
From there its hard to say who will be the other 4+ wingers til training camp & preseason get under way. TG may surprise us with some choices.

Gaunce still an RFA....signed very cheap & Utica bound & waiver risk?
Chaput Megna to Utica is my hope & guess.
Boucher...thats a tough one with a log jam on wing.
Rodin & Goldy same thing.
JV....has he matured & fit n ready?
Resulting competition will be fierce & interesting to see who wants it most & who shines or all simply needing more development or destined to be AHLers only.
