210 would be ideal, but needs to play over 200 without question. Being listed at 161lbs on the Canucks prospect camp list means he has some serious weight gain ahead - WhiteLie

There was a distinct difference between the drafted/signed players to the non's. - manvanfan
Each of these camps usually fill in rosters with some regional players that are looking for extra ice time for purposes such as NCAA or what have you.
A better evaluation will be top prospects game in 18-19.
As many know, I have not been a supporter of that Pettersson pick, but holy poop he has some nice skill. Hope I am wrong about this pick. |

Nicklas Backstrom listed 213.
Filip Forsberg listed 205
Alex Wennberg listed 196
He is a "slight" frame kid so i'm guessing between 195-205 would be his prime weight. |

He isn't getting to 210 195 would be a huge win. His older brother is only 185 |

You're wrong a lot, you should be used to it by now! Just kidding.
Main camp and for a lot of prospects, making world junior teams. Hopefully this season's world juniors will have a lot of draft eligible prospects so that us as fan's can get a good look at what is upcoming. |

I'm sad that Goldobin, Cassels, Carcone, Labate, Subban, and Pedan are no longer even on the roster. They were locks for key roles starting in 2018 - WhiteLie
Goldobin bolted to KHL last night, didn't you hear! |

Somewhere in that window seems to be the norm now, I think by the time he reaches his prime it will increase a bit
All 6'-2" players having played 40+ games: http://www.nhl.com/stats/...Played,gte,40&sort=points
Toews, Eichel, Kesler, Rakell all in that range.
Shockers on the list for me: Simmonds only 185, Jamie Benn 210 (both seem heavier), James Neal 221 and Ritchie 232 both heavier than I wouldve guessed |

6'2 - 195 is great for someone with his playing style |

I said 210 would be ideal, as I think having a lower center of gravity with his skill set would make him very hard to handle on the offensive zone. I do agree with some of the comments beyond this one that his playing style will dictate probably a lighter weight, but I dont foresee an issue getting 195-200 |

I look forward to WJC every year. Hoping the this upcoming one has a few Canucks sprinkled throughout the rosters.
Also looking forward to see Brady Tkachuk in this tournament, along with Ryan Macleod, Svechnikov, Nolan Foote and Dahlin.
Tkachuk being my hope for next year's pick so far.
Needless to say, .... I am wrong again. |

During the draft he was mentioned that if he was drafted this season he probably wouldn't have been top 10. He wasn't though so hopefully he puts up better numbers and improves. Van should really look at getting another top 20 pick next season. |

My feeling is that Benning chose Gunnerson, with the idea that he can be Tanev's replacement for when he trades him at TDL or next off-season.
Defensive defensemen of Tanev's ability are hard to come by and if that is what Benning is thinking, Tanev should be able to garner us at minimum a 1st round pick. |

I dont know what the market is on JVR, but I would be fine making that deal provided that JVR can bring back a good return at TDL on his expiring contract |

I will take it with every grain of salt I can.
JVR and a 1st I would trade Tanev for. Then Van doesn't have to worry about Evander Kane.
Or JVR could be flipped for another 1st at the deadline and Van could have 3- 1st round picks next season. |

If JVR could bring a 1st Toronto would have done that already. |
