Seems almost contradictory to Trouba's CF% rel's -4.4 and FF% rel's -4.1 compared to Risto's -2.8 and -3.3

Vegas did all kinds of dumb sh!t
McPhee is one of the 5 worst GMs in hockey

I've watched Mrazek play quite a few times
He looks pretty good to me

- jdfitz77

There's plenty of red flags in Custance's article to entice zero interest in Petr Mrazek

Sure. Even more interested to see where Phil the Thrill takes this team. Better defense play means better offense means better 5v5 means better metrics for everyone yay

Even with salary retained on them...
We'd be lucky to get a 5th for Gorges
And idk if Bogosian is tradable unless WE add in a pick

- jdfitz77

Id be fine getting a 5th for Gorges.

Also standard deviation of 2. WTF??

(I don't even know if this is relevant, much less important.)

If the team's defense had a SD of 2, that would be good. Really good.

Excited to see some of our top end prospects and see if they have improved. Hope Nylander and Guhle put some bulk on.

That Rohrschach Test has a standard deviation of 2, though. Not some team.

I firmly believe Botts has a grasp on a lot of the more important prospects already. No more Regiering them into confusion. No more neglect. He's going treat them all as valuable assets that need to grow and simply won't be rushed. If being in Sweden one more year is better for your development than being in Rochester, then Botts will sign a 1 year UFA and wait for you.

I love what he's doing and it's extremely refreshing.

I wonder how Grigorenko could have turned out with true, proper development.

- TheSabresTaco

I agree with this and think it is very refreshing. Trying to rush players could ruin them for good. You dont rush cooking something and hope it still tastes as good. (bad comparison)

It also means his entry level deal does not kick in yet, so that means a lower cap hit for longer (of the beginning of his prime). Smart for both sides.

I still think Nylander is worth waiting on. Reinhart is already doing well in NHL (almost 50 points by a 20 year old is good, even if we wanted more), so I want to wait to see what he can bring this year as well.

I don't disagree just saying at this point trouba>ristolainen. I think in the right role ristolainen could close the gap

As players without any of the stats, I would agree. Risto has proven he is more offensively capable but Trouba is a much better defenseman, again without stats. Seems odd to me that the shot metrics, at least on hockey-reference, are or seem to be off.

Sept. 26, 1997 is a date I can never forget. One of my fourth-grade classmates, Jacob Wagner, won the “Nick Takes Over Your School” contest. I remember being excited to have all of my favorite Nickelodeon characters come in and make our school day fun. And it was fun at first. It was all any elementary schooler could want. But soon, all we wanted was for it to be over.
Nickelodeon took over my school…and they wouldn’t leave.
We were in the middle of a morning math lesson when it began. It was fractions. The next thing I remember was a series of percussive noises and yelling from outside as I saw an orange and green school bus pull up through the classroom window.

Soon, a giant Tommy Pickles mascot and a camera crew burst through the door and slimed my math teacher right then and there. We played their games. We ran through slime slip-‘n’-slides. We cheered when we saw Marc Summers and cast members from Clarissa Explains It All. It was incredible. Then they started the events again. Giant Tommy Pickles. Games. Slime. Marc Summers. And again. Tommy Pickles. Games. Slime. Marc Summers.
Fourteen hours later, one of my classmates, Jennifer Bryant, asked if we could leave. That’s when it all stopped being fun.

The Nickelodeon mascots and camera crew rounded us all up into the auditorium. They told us everything we knew about school was about to change. They told us they were in charge now. Then they took our principal, Mr. Hoffman, a man whom I loved and respected, a man who had let me eat lunch in his office when I was scared on the first day of kindergarten. They pulled him onstage, where they slimed him in front of all of us and pulled his pants down. “I’m your principal now,” yelled Stimpy from The Ren & Stimpy Show into a megaphone.
What followed was a forced regimen of obstacle courses, slopstacle courses, egg races, and pizza slams. Whenever they saw us getting used to a routine, they changed it up. Never letting us rest. Never letting us see our loved ones. Children, teachers, even the custodial staff were randomly pulled out in front of the school and slimed for the cameras. When we tried to sleep, a large man dressed like Porkchop from Doug would bark in our faces, or the cast of All That would fire T-shirt cannons at us. It went on for weeks.

Soon, kids were eating Gak and Floam. We were only allowed to bathe in orange soda or chocolate sauce. Everyone was getting sick. We thought it would never end. We thought Nick had taken over our lives. We didn’t know how long we would last. And, finally, we gave up hope.

Then on June 12, 1998, eight months and 17 days later, the National Guard stormed our elementary school and removed Nickelodeon from the premises. It was over. The government killed all of the Nickelodeon characters with guns and grenades, but their stain would forever discolor the minds of all who lived in Morning Day Elementary under their despotic reign.

It's not uncommon for these stats to be a little off on sites that aren t necessarily known for it. I usually double check in Corsica but I think it's still off line

Eh, that's where the big discrepancy is IMO.

Relative to ice time, Trouba is better at both ends.

If you are playing #1 PP unit with Eichel, ROR etc, you are bound to rack up points.

Same with playing 27 min a night. Give those minutes to Gorges (Please don't really give them to him) and he ends up with more points.
