I know MacEwen is heading to Comets but I would rather see
King MacEwen Dorsett over Magna Gaunce Dorsett - VANTEL
I like Dorsett on our 4rth at this stage of the game. He's willing to throw his face between some ahole's fist and one of our kids every shift. There is an embarrassing side of watching him get pummelled most nights and always injured but what ever. We check and create havoc when he's playing. He does that well. He's fast enough to be on the puck retriever almost every dump... need more of that...

Gaudette seems to be shooting up the popularity charts here lately - VANTEL
Well he was the top C prospect Canucks had until EP was drafted. Now they can battle it out next camp. |

The Cariboo is on fire in every direction right now... hwy 97 closed multiple locations from multiple fires... people trapped in between. Even Dragon Mountain in Quesnel is on fire today from a strike... Deep Creek, 150 Mile, Lac Le Hache, 100 Mile House, Ashcroft... brutal. I'll be surprised if I have a cabin in the south Cariboo after this summer... |

Those are his best attributes when he's on his game. But he doesn't generate or add any offense. For a team low on offense and the need for skill on all lines to be able to score DD's deficiency becomes a concern. |

Try playing him with players who capitalise on the turn overs and pressure that Dorsett can create and it all changes.
Edit: a year or two from now, well have some bigger mature kids in the line up... Dorsett will barely be a memory then... |

My cousin has been sending me pics everyday, she's at 150, it looks pretty brutal. Did they save the mill at 100 Mile? |

I havent heard anything bad about the mill so I guess. It's on Exeter road which is full of people fishing and camping all summer... I spend a lot of time in there... so frigging dry... you take that road all the way back and there is cactus and sagebrush like Spences Bridge once you get near the Fraser.

That's the point the line should be made up of two way players who can score.
Chaput, Megna, Guance and DD can be beaten out by players who can play the two way game and have better skill then they do. |

Agreed. Does he get a bad rap because of his $2.5m price tag? I think so. He plays with heart and doesn't shy away from fights even though he is out matched. |

He won't have a contract with Canucks either by then too
But yeah you surround him with better players he can contribute.
Though if someone can do what he does now and is more skilled at scoring then don't see the point in playing him. I see a couple propects who will be playing pro that might beat him out at camp. If not, as the season goes on they might get in. Injuries being what they are DD will probably go down the way he plays for his size and age. |

Sure and why he's liked by many. DD is a good example to teammates and young players.
But it might come down to what's better for the team as a whole and not what he does. The let's rebuild by having cap space crowd would like to see that contract in the AHL if it can't be traded. Without playoff hockey DD becomes less relevant as the intensity of games are decided on skill. |

Last years Canucks without EG and DD were way to easy to play against. Teams were not afraid to punish us. That hurts to watch. |
