I think Bo is a no brainer . It would be a waste eating up the second year of his ECL to play on Utica. His job to lose.
Goldobin has put in his time already. I go back to what DCT said last year , they guy adds offense , let him play. Again I go back to Chaput Megna and Gaunce , who would you rather see Goldobin or them ?
I don't like Rodin or Sven gifted a spot. - VANTEL
I want goals. Win or lose we need offensive excitement. Something to talk about. Goldobin could easily double their combined points total. |

Don't be so hasty with Gaunce. I could easily see him scoring 2-3 goals if they put him in a position to succeed with quality linemates - CanuckDon

No to JVR. He wouldn't be happy here and would be a flight risk the first chance he gets. - bloatedmosquito
The purpose of JVR would be to flip right away or at the TDL. He's not a long term option for Van.

The nice thing about all the warm bodies is the internal competition. These guys are going to have to bust their a$$ to gain a roster spot. No gifting anyone a spot. |

Wouldn't his trade value diminish playing on the Canucks? |

Not ratty enough.
Through all the years of Canucks success they always had a rat. Cooke, Burr, Kes, Torres.
We need another one of those a$$holes. - vancity787
when we had bur torres kes all at once we went to the SCF. Kes beat nashville almost by himself, bur the OT hero against the hawks and both Bur and torres the OT heros in boston. Worked pretty well for us |

FLAGGED! How many times do I have to warn you cats, Gaunce is one of the worst players in NHL history, there are WAY BETTER options available to us now and stop penciling him in on projected lineups!!!!!
And where did King come from?? Good god NOOOOOOO, he's horrific. Why suddenly is Sven not in the lineup? Theres no reason why he shouldn't hit 20goals this year and he's an extra behind Gaunce and KING!!! - Brooks_Light

I don't think so, he would only be here till Feb at the most.

Great trade at the time. One of gillis' best. Lappy and Higgins as depth for the cup run. Worked out well. Better than what nonis tried to do. - bloatedmosquito
What do you mean? Nonis spearheaded the run with this guy. |

Then keep Tanev and trade him at the deadline. Tanev a year older and more experienced would fetch a better return. Young stay home dman is gold to a team on a cup run. |

Honestly he holds no interest for me. I like where this team headed now with a younger core. He doesn't fit a position of need either. |

This. You could garner a lot in a deal for a team pushing. |

I agree, I was only saying if that trade happened then you can turn him into assets. JVR has value, not as a Canuck but as assets you could gain from trading him. |

Completely agree with this. My comment was if that trade did happen he does have value, not as a Canuck but with adding assets with trading him.

Nonis wasn't a total idiot.
Edler Hansen Grabner Bourdon(RIP)
Also He hired AV. Who has now had a successful career as head coach and never been without a job since his initial hire.
I would say he helped shape this team for its cup run and the current teams state as much if not more than every other GM. |

There is no discounting that it worked but we have seen other teams successful without them. |

What real tangable downside is there to having a Rat or 2 on your team?
Other teams players hate you? Other teams fans hate you? Neither of those points should amount to jack poop. |
