The ECHL's Florida Everblades have offered Jaromir Jagr a roster spot.
"We believe this deal makes sense for both sides," said Everblades Public Relations Manager & Broadcaster Alex Reed. "Jaromir will have the opportunity to continue to play the game that he loves, while remaining in the tropical paradise of South Florida. From the team side, well that’s obvious. Just imagine watching number 68 skate on Germain Arena ice, with his long hair flowing behind him. The whole thing just gives us chills." The Everblades have also stated that they're willing to have him suit up in only their weekend home games if that's more convenient for him. It's a nice story, but don't expect Jagr to play in the ECHL at all next season.

I think he has a year or two left in school. I imagine he's the kind of player that would want to finish then see if the sabres are interested. He's coming along nicely though.

He just finished his Junior year at Brown. Id like to get him in the fold now if possible but its prob smarter for him to finish

If a top LW comes back I'm all for it ( them in a package)

The rookie out played those 2 and they should be the ones dominating this easy rookie camp imo

- gerbe75pts

Baptiste looked sloppy to me day one. Just camp but he didnt look dominant like he should have. Bailey still has raw upside in my opinion. Has an NHL shot and good frame. Still see him as a 3rd liner when all is said and done.

Asplund looks better and better...

I wish he would stay in North America this year but the 2018-2019 season he could be the #1 center in Rochester

Jack Eichel says hi.

Also, nice.

This kid was a steal at 8th overall. Who gives a s**t if he can do pullups? I'll help him lift the cup is necessary

I'm happy he's staying over it's more a NHL atmosphere and he will be ready next year for the NHL full time

I was very bummed when i heard he wasn't coming over this year. Thought it would have been a good opportunity to have him and Nylander in Roch together. Oloffson too

What did you not see them do, or should they have done more?

I haven't been able to watch, so I am not trying to be a jerk here.

- thatsapickle

Physically and skating they were fine, but they have to finish, lots of chances, not many goals, if they want to crack top 6 have to start putting away chances.

Mainly this is directed at Bailey and Baptiste, Nylander much younger.

I had heard it was mutual decision between him and brass to stay for one more year. I'm actually not worried about him not signing here (double negative sorry), after this season they'll get him to sign the ELC.
