I don't see many battles. Roster is fairly set.
Kids go back to Jr. only OJ can impress.
BB makes the team & idk if Rodin will. - Nighthawk
Look back at the post. Why I listed all the names and positions for camp. You see that roster as set? So who's out and who's in and why? |

Its dog days until camp as you said. So thought a look at who will be there, fighting for what, was something to pass the time.
Didn't want to make it about lines or pairings but who were the best players for their positions.
Still with what you did repond with there is no why part in answer. Any comments to back up and flesh out?
By the way I expect Green will surprise us with his line up. But not sure he would pair to LD up top and two RD at bottom together. Maybe for a PP but 5v5? |

Would be a win on term and $ in year 4 on. Plus with no NMC or NTC too. |

Other than BB can be waived the rest speaks for itself.
Boucher is in question but he will resign i think.
Rodin gets one last chance & if reinjured easily replaced & Boucher is some insurance.
Swap MDZ & Stecher idc. Basically 3 balanced pairings & PP & PK get those who r best for the role for extra ice time. I see MDZ PP1 & Edler PP2 without the Sedins. Edler needs a fresh start if even on the PP. |

So you're basing the roster on who's waivable then?
Yeah Boucher filed for arbitration so he's guaranteed a contract and will be there in the fight to stick.
Agree interesting to see how Newel goes about forming 2 PP units. Important to keeping team afloat and not run over in games.
Edler might not be on any PP unit and kept fresh with Tanev for PK. Same with Sutter.
Green & Newel could have MDZ, Stecher, Hutton, Gagner for the point. Plus adding to Sedins there are Forwards like Granlund, Sven, Bo, LE. Then depending on cuts, BB, Boucher, Rodin, Burmistrov, Goldy and JV to name a few. |

Who is not waivable its obvious they make the team.
Goldy or JV gotta do great to impress they make it.
Both likely to Utica as call ups.
Everybody else back to Jr eg OJ Gadjovich.
Palmu to Utica & maybe Dahlen. I figure Dahlen/EP in the SEL though.
Utica is the fun & focus with us projecting who will be there.
Patience year for all prospects.
This is a growth year for us thru to the entire organization.
As the seasons has ups n downs things will change. |

Okay, so who do you got for Comets? I laid my roster out a week ago if you recall the conversation. I also waived a few guys there too for different reasons like depth and leadership.
Junior guys to return now would be: Gadjovich, Lind, Depietro, Candella and Brassard?(too young or not ready for AHL?). But OJ seems like he might get a 9 game look out of camp. They seem to have 8F and 5D who are not waivable. |

Those not on the Canucks or back to Jr or Europe fight it out in Utica.
Only so many leftovers & prospects remain. Losers out go to the ECHL.
I see many players going to Utica sooner than later as the Canucks have few spots.
Utica will get a head start that way. |

exactly. late 1sts or early 2nd round picks are nothing!
this team needs more prospects like boeser and demko. tanev should be traded for rebuilding type pieces. - RealityChecker
Boeser was a late 1st. Demko was an early 2nd.
But I understand what u mean. |
