Any The The or Johnny Marr fans here?
28 yrs. ago today Matt Johnson and The The released Mind Bomb with Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr doing some exceptional work throughout. It's a CD not for the feeble.
Mind Bomb is a thick and textural soundscape with scathing lyrics and "instructions" that say, “Please play very loud! Very Late. Very alone…and with the lights turned very low.” Bust out the headphones and play it loud tonight.

I have a friend who is very gay for anything 80's related, let alone the Smiths and Johnny Marr and The The for that matter.
I'll have to ask him about this one, I'm gonna say he 100% knows it.
Have you checked out the album Marr did with Modest Mouse?

We've officially reached the Summer sports lull. Today is the second of only 2 days of the year when none of the major 4 have any games scheduled. On the bright side, 15 days till TC and less than a month til the first preseason game. Fasten your seatbelts Bills Fans.
I would have gone with a lesser known actor, like Liam McIntyre - homiedclown
Honestly, The Rock kinda fits size-wise. The Rock might be a skosh big, but he's trimmed down some for a few roles and he could probably do it. His character is supposed to be savage, brutal. Willing to put someone in the hospital, or worse, to make a point. The books are great, quick reads, not like a Tom Clancy book or something.
I wouldn't mind an unknown and McIntyre is certainly better size-wise than Cruise, but he's still too small. Reacher is 6'5"-6'6" and 260+.
I saw the first movie before I read the books, so I enjoyed Tommy boy in the role, thought he did a great job, but then I read the books, and he doesn't fit at all, he just doesn't have the presence. When he tries to go intense he goes crazy eyed. But they also picked the perfect book for the first movie for Cruise, it's one of the less brutal ones, I suppose they could just throw out the scenes. I mean, hell, they totally changed the setting of "Never go Back" it takes place in LA in the book, but NO in the movie.
