Expansion team in Seattle evens out the conferences. 3 games against the teams in your division = 21 games. 2 games against the teams in the other division of your conference = 16 games. 1 game against each team from the west = 16 games. So a 53 game regular season and every team makes the playoffs.
Each division has their own playoffs. 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. Division winners play each other in the conference finals. Playoffs would start in February and the season would be done in late April/early May. Players get an extra couple months of rest each off season. Teams take a haircut on about 15 or 16 home games, but they keep players healthier and the better teams would get a few extra playoff games. - Pierceme69
15 or 16 home games equals about a 40% cut. No (frank)ing way they go for that. |

Wow chop 30 games off the season and completely nuke the best professional sport playoff structure. The Stanley's Cup playoffs have been the same longer than you've been alive, maybe try another sport if you don't like hockey. - Blazed
lol the Stanley Cup playoffs have been "the same" for about 4 years. "Tradition" is the single most ludicrous stand to take with the NHL, they are always tweaking rules and outright changing others, changing alignment, playoff structure, series length...
Having said that, a 53 game season where every team makes the playoffs is dumb. |

It's still on 3000+ screens? I'm surprised. Is there just nothing else out? Or have the theaters just gotten stupidly big and they need to fill them out? |

Its more about money than pretending to be in playoff contention. Longer games/OT = extra concession. Playoffs = 100% positive revenue and profit. a 7 game series? More money.
That's it. - BeadyEyedDouche
Not really
Beer sales are cut off by then
And who's getting up to get food in OT?
Not a chance
Anyone who was hungry would've already gotten food |

Not a chance in hell the teams would agree to this
You gotta remember that hockey is a business
Owners aren't gonna take that financial hit
Zero chance
And the every team makes the playoffs idea isn't much better
The NHL is already criticized for having too many teams make it
No one wants to see Chicago whip the AVs, etc
Think of how bad it would look with the mediocre attendance you'd see
Bad ideas here sir
No offense intended |

People keep going to see it
Gerbe isn't the only Comic book nerd who sees those movies more than once
I'm going to Spiderman tomorrow with a friend who's already seen it
Also, word of mouth had spread on Wonder Woman enough that ppl who weren't planning on going to see it in the theatre have decided to check it out |

I had no plans to watch it but my daughter was dying to see it so we took her. It was one of the better comic book movies that I have seen. Better than the new Spiderman. |

He and Homie made a bet. Gerbe thinks WW will surpass BvS by the end of August. It's got a long way to go. |

I haven't seen a Spiderman movie since Spier-Raimi 3. Maybe it was 2, which one was Alfred Molina in? That's the last one I saw. |

Cosmetic changes sure. The playoffs has more or less been the same since 79 and it's a masterpiece. Leave it alone insane anyone would want to change it. |

Toronto missed the playoffs for like a decade. It's a tough league to play well enough to get a chance at the Holy Grail, as it should be. |
