I don't think you want to pay a third line center 6 mil. He did go the last quarter of the season with 0 goals (17 games).

I think Canucks are looking for a different style and that is why they drafted Pettersson instead of Glass.

Bo is a good player but I think when the dust settles he will be more like Malhotra and not like Marner.

I think bring Bo back at 3 years bridge deal and see how he does with Boeser type players instead of Higgins type players.

If I was Benning I would say I want to see what I have another year or two. I go back to the saying I have used a few times. Being the best apple of a rotten bunch of apples doesn't make you a great apple.

I see the cap hit anywhere from 4.5 to 5.5 . Bo could be nothing more than Adam Gaudette. Take a better look at what you have before committing big money long term.

I wanted Glass at first until I saw more of Pettersson. The fact that some scouts said if he weighed more he would have went first overall is a good sign as well.

Another top 5 pick next year, a new and improved scouting staff will have things looking not too bad in a few years.

If he is a stud he will still be a stud in two years , so why not wait an see. Hitting twenty goals for the first time and fifty points for the first time does not mean it will happen every year. See if he does that this year playing top line minutes and getting other teams top players playing against him . What's the hurry to lock him down and in 3 years trying to trade him if he turns out to be another RNH salary?
