I have LE, Gagner and Sutter/Granlund all with more points than Baertchi this year.
Bo - 62
Hank - 55
Dank - 55
LE - 52
Sutter - 47
Granlund - 44
Gagner - 42
Baertchi - 39 - LordHumungous
I think youre list is pretty good except I dont think Sutter will be having a career year. Dropping him to the bottom at 33-36 points seems most likely. Granlund is a bit of a wildcard to me. Could build off last season, or struggle a bit depending on his role/position |

ARZ - NJ - will finish lower than us as well. - LordHumungous
I don't think either will finish below us. Arizona I feel got better in the off season. Not to mention adding Keller full time, and getting rid of some bad D, I think they will be improved. New Jersey I think will hover around the point totals as us but I still think they are a better team. |

NJ will have Hall, Zajac, Henrique, Johannsen, Palmieri, Zacha and Hischier up front and Schneider in net. They wont be playoff contender good, but cant see them being bottom 3 bad either.
I like the moves AZ made as well: Hjalmarsson, Raanta, Stepan will help but still a chance they could fall flat |

I think Sutter breaks 40 barely. Granlund may see less PP time because of Gagner. Only had 7 points on the PP last season though. May see a small rise but not a break out season. |

Morning guys, hey how about JB goes looking for a few UFA's that he can pump and dump, or is that pick and flip and then he can get another pump and dump player.
With two pump and dumps and one pick and flip, there could be 3 new prospects that will get us to division champions, but if it's not working that way, JB can again do another two pump and dumps at the TDL and buy some really really talented players that will definitely put the team in the playoffs.
It so exciting to be a canuck fan right now with all the pump and dumps available, not to mention the pick and flips we could realize...oohh I'm so excited I'm giddy. - Makita

I think Green will continue to lean on Sutter in a defensive role. I think Sutter's time on the PP will be limited with potentially Sedins, LE, Sven, Bo, Gagner, and maybe Boeser/Granlund/Burmistrov getting time on there ahead of him. Tough to see him being a better offensive contributor with less opportunities |

They possibly have the worst Defense in the league,
Severson, their best defender was -30 last year
Green, Lovejoy, Moore, Prout (who?)Kapla (who?) ain't much help either.

optimism is good in the morning.
I feel like saying I don't care what Sutter gets in regard to points because I just want him off the pp. we should have more offensive options available this season that Sutter is no longer a mainstay.
Then again, I expect Sutter will produce at his average rate. |

Which is why I dont think they make the playoffs, but Schneider back with Melanson will help cover for those mistakes and keep them to a high 70's team IMO |

as I just mentioned, who's going to play the front of the net, who according to Newell Brown said is a mainstay on the PP. |

why the f*ck would you "cut back" Horvat's role if you are Green. He was held back if anything under Willie last year. 30% of his starts were in the O-zone only, and he was deployed on the 2nd PP. If we take the "you get what you deserve approach" then give the kid 1st line minutes and 1st unit PP and stop babying the aging Sedins and give them what they deserve... 2nd/3rd line minutes and 2nd unit PP... |

I would like to see them get away from net front presence TBH. Go with a high slot set up and a guy below the goal line in a 1-3-1 formation and then crash the net for rebounds on shot attempts. Whether its Daniel, LE, Sutter none are truly effective in front of the net, so why force square peg into round hole?
But you are right, Brown will start Sutter on the PP apparently as his Kesler-lite

Is it all about Sutter on face offs?
I'd rather see Baertschi, Boeser, LE, or Granlund on the wing than Sutter. |

I think Vegas will have one of the worst teams in history. I don't understand why anyone likes that garbage roster. |

I think faceoffs and RH shot are essentially the core elements of Brown's favor. I agree though that Sutter shouldnt be on it. If you want a RH shot backside, Boeser. Gagner is also RH, takes draws and has spent some time in the middle of the ice on PP in CBJ |
