But ov was captain at a young age so you're wrong there

Toews is the captain so that's your franchise player

Then you have Tyler Seguin who was not a franchise player at the time and he wasn't going to beat out a HOF player

Sooooo

Again, moving the goal posts.

Ovechkin was 24, he was in the league for 5 years before he was made captain. That's a lot of experience before he was made captain. "Young age" is relative.

I went over the list yesterday. 15 teams do not have their best player as their captain. Half the league.

You make it seem like being captain makes you start the season with 20 points or something. He'll likely get a letter. There will probably be 3 A's that get rotated(a bunch of teams do this) ROR, Eichel, Okposo, and Risto will all probably get letters.

I think the way that you're trying to phrase your statement/question is too open ended. You're giving people plenty of chances to show that the best player isn't always a captain (especially right away). You can find many teams that do not have their young, burgeoning star as the captain of a team.

That's how I am taking this argument.

Toronto is the perfect example. They didn't have a captain last year. Is Matthews a guarantee?

Interesting. No Antipin. McCabe on the 3rd pair. 7 centers on the team.

The article, it was basically just a "what's in the system". No UFA signings or big trades. Just re-signing your own guys.

Yea I came across this yesterday also, didn't want to waste everyone's time with this stupidity. No Middelstadt and CJ Smith would be bottom 6 at best.

With what we had before the tank at the Center position, looking at that lineup puts a huge smile on my face.......

also add Middlestat to Jacks line and Kane to reinhart's... I'm liking the forward group.
If Guhle is as good as I hope, fun times are coming back to buffalo.

Add Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen as the goalie

Luckily, I haven't had that happen yet. Did have 2 that were two weeks apart last summer. Only had one on the slate for this year, and it was back in May.

My friend and his wife had like 6 weddings last year. I think I'd shoot myself.
