How ya been bro? - golfingsince
it's been a fantastic summer! was in tofino earlier this month and going to go back in the next couple of weeks.
makes me think about making a big move in the next few years. cash out of the vancouver housing lottery and find a nice place somewhere in the province (or perhaps not.)

how's the family? the girls good? - RealityChecker
I love Tofino. I have a friend who's Willie Mitchell's neighbour out in Rosie Bay estates.
Family and the girls are great thanks. We (GB and I ) love BC but we don't regret leaving. We get a beachside home here for 1/4 of the price. You can easily afford a place down south as well for half the price of living in BC.
There are things you miss obviously but there are some pretty cool things about living in the maritimes.
Of course, let me know if you want to come visit. You're always welcome to bro.
If Boeser is used properly by Green he should be around 18 goals...I wouldn't expect any more than that. Barring injury of course as most players are out for at least 10 games per year nowadays. - LordHumungous
I don't guess injuries & no doubt in my mind BB is a pure scorer
If we can get him cheap why not...plant him on the 4th line let him do his thing. He's not injury-prone and can help the kids. He's usually good for 25-35 pts. - LordHumungous
Edler Tanev
Beauchemin Stecher
Del Zotto Guds
Weirchoch
Biega
I could see Green gone by mid-Feb then Sullivan can come back to get this roster to the cup finals! - LordHumungous
It seems as if Green is going to have the same very long leash that JB and Co. have. I don't mind letting him grow with the team. As long as the players make strides. Nobody expects this team to win still.

I think the team itself should be better than last year but goaltending will keep us bottom 5.
T&T= Dynamite
Goldy = speed + playmaking = shooting
Kane > hockey sense < civility
Pump and dump bias - Nuck4U
Goldy shown no signs of being a playmaker & every reason he needs to learn what 2-way hockey is all about. Until he is good for 25 goals a year he will be in & out of the line-up while other prospects take away his ice time.

If team stays a bit healthier, I would hope to see a bit of improvement. At the same time for every player that goes up (bo, Baert, Granlund). Players like the Sedin's and ERiksson went down. Evened out.
As long as the Sedin's/ Eriksson level off or go up a bit and the kids stay the course of steady improvement. Add is some young better players like Goldy/ Boeser.
Shero on 2012 draft pick Alex Kerfoot, who can become an unrestricted free agent on August 15th.
“I talked to him a few days ago for a while. I think after the dust settled for free agency for a lot of teams, including ours, I think it was good to reconnect with him. Me, John Hynes and Fitzie had a conference call with him, and I explained to him again exactly where we were. I think it was a good reminder that we’d really like to sign him, but like anybody else, he controls the outcome until Aug. 15. I think it was a really good conversation and he’ll talk to his agent, and hopefully get back to us in the very near future. There’s not much more he can learn from us at this point, but I think it was a really good chance to reconnect with him when the dust settles after July 1 around the league and certainly with the Devils.”
Long read but local boy Kerfoot, who Van has interest in. Sounds like he has no interest in signing in NJ.
I think thats reasonable. I guess it depends on a few factors. Timing for one & more likely closer to the TDL. Other factor is OJ gets a spot on merit. The latter is my curiosity & could decide it sooner than later. Just a hunch
Now if we manage to get 2-2nds i jump on it yesterday.

2-2nds maybe be hard. Nathan Bealieu just traded to Buff for a 3rd only. More of a frantic move though. Nick Holden was traded for a 4th but was about 5 years older at the time last season.
5/6 D without much experience, are kind of cheap usually to acquire.
I think OJ should go to Europe. Get's to log big minutes against men probably. Play in the World Juniors not interrupting the NHL season. Don't need another JV incident.
Would also allow Hutton to have a good season and up his value more.
Taking a different approach to a deal with the Habs....
Sutter/Sven/Hutton for Galchenyuk/conditional 2nd higher of their 2 picks/4th
My reasoning behind that deal is that get a true C & known quantity in Sutter & Sven can help in bolstering up the scoring also. Hutton for need & depth. The cap hits can be absorbed & walk away from Markov if not signable. Now my problem is do we give up too many NHL roster players or can a winger prospect step in & be ready? OJ would slot in for Hutton & have vets around to insulate him. Habs side of it is Galchenyuk their future C? If they think he is not then maybe this is not as 1/2 baked as it might seem.

I'm with u on all of the above if nothing gives & no deal is there.
I don't agree on OJ being JV as far as maturity possibilities but i do see your point 1 more year of seasoning would be benefit him in Europe.
