This is terrible. I mean, how do you live with adding another NHL ready defensemen? To this team?
Oh the agony of having too many defenders that can play in the NHL. Shouldn't they just stop at the minimum and use Guhle as a continual call up and ruin his development as well?

So you'd sit Bogo in the press box, effectively ensuring a buyout for him, then sign a vet defenseman to a 2 year deal, ensuring Guhle had nowhere to play for the next two seasons except the AHL? That would be painful if they were foolish enough to do something like that.
Edit: Botts better have a landing spot for one of them, not Gorges, prior to that signature.

I am extremely disappointed that the NHL players will not be released by their employers to participate in the Olympics. The Olympics for "ages" have been about a global "best against best" contest. Each country proudly sent their best athletes to compete. It's a special event only held every 4 years. These athletes train for years and years and dream of one day representing their country. Imagine if every employer in the US said their employees where too valuable to them to let them go. Who would the US send? The NHL even makes their employees, spectators, media, and anyone else watching a game pay respects to the USA and Canada by playing their anthems before contests. The only reason the NHL will not let it's players go is because they greedily do not think they will "benefit" enough from games held in South Korea as they would if they were held elsewhere. That is why NHL executives have been "wearing out the carpet" going back and forth to Beijing, because they think they will benefit greatly by the publicity they will receive there. I have heard, "the teams do not want to shut down for 3 weeks". Why not? They can schedule concerts at their venues during that time. There will still be the same number of regular season and playoff games. Between the All Star break, teams bye weeks, and other schedule anomalies, most teams already have a few weeks off. Did you know that the NHL guaranteed player participation if NBC agreed to extend their contract a few years? (NBC said no). The NHL gave the same offer to the players if they agreed to extend the CBA 2 more years. (they also said no). So it's not like they do not want them to go, it's all about the use of the Olympics as a "bargaining chip". In closing, the NHL is simply an employer that happens to be employing some of the best hockey players in the world. They should allow those who get invited to go represent their countries. - 89mogo
I am going to spend more time in the flame section this coming season, so I need to watch a few more games from them - homiedclown
Oh (frank)...it's a constant circle Jerk of their players on there. I know I give Sabres a hard time but at least you guys are aware that your u have a handful of over the hill players. Flames fans seem to think every player on their roster and prospect system is amaze balls... all their short comings are a result of goaltending and Denis Wideman.. Otherwise they are perfect.....until they become former Flames, then they were a weak link.

oh my god you're terrible for this, she's so (frank)ing awful its not even funny to like her ironically and she looks more like a real doll than actual real dolls.
On a side note I had a raging sex dream about her a couple years ago for some reason, even though I find her to be repulsive.
The music is contrived and pretentious, but I'll admit, her second album (The one the guy from the Black Keys produced - Another terrible band) had fantastic production. Some of the best production to come out of the music industry in several years.

Best threads IMO are Flames, Oilers and Sabres.... and Garth. - Larsson_fan
Sabres have the best threads on this site and it isn't close. I'm not even being a homer, we regularly get over 1000 posts per blog, as long as its left up for a day or two, because Pach can really pump them out sometimes.

You're so wrong lol
She's super talented man
edit: I could give you that she usually works with a lot of writers, but she has a great singing voice, is catchy as hell, and really knows how to set an atmosphere
