He can be and that isn't the argument right now. Right now Horvat is a 3rd line centre. Right now he is the best we have and he is a 1st line centre. On a SC winning team that is all he is the fact that he is a #1 centre is because he is on a $hitty team. - thundachunk
If BO is a 3C on a SC team then that is a very short list.
Starts with the Pens & after that a crap shoot.
If not the Pens & they don't win the cup thats amazing. |

The 5th player I omitted was Tkachuk.
With the knock on his skating his pedigree & moxy will decide his fate.
Quinn is the other curiosity & not too shabby is he.
Top 6 is pretty solid all in all with it separating as the season goes on.
Dahlin could step right in if luck is on our side.
That means a D trade would have to happen if we get 1OA.
If we r simply horrible still then Dahlin would stay in the SEL 1 more season.
We could trade sooner & roll the dice which works for me also.
Yes i am saying it....Tanev days r dwindling. - Nighthawk
If we pass on our second Tkachuk it will be embarrassing

Next year the Cs will rise to the top. As 16-17 year old kids it is hard to gauge how a player will play their final year like Patrick and Liljegren . Both players the year before were forecasted as must take players .
Ask me half way through next year who I think the top players are.
Secondly if your team doesn't know how to project more than one year at a time you are in deep trouble - VANTEL
Yes we don't know how the prospects will wind up in the rankings for 2018. You got front runners, which I mentioned, and go from there.
Though that wasn't the subject matter of expectation. It was on teams.
Projections are theoretical and you can't know the effect of development and changes too far ahead. Just like your development example on prospects for the draft same applies to the much more complicated chemistry make up of team expectations beyond a season. |

BPA what a strange term for a guess in some ways.
Generalizing word without us knowing a teams BPA list. |

Last season while i was pumping for Mittelstadt & Makar before their rise there was Troy saying EP. Well suffice to say Troy projected well. Many ppl fell in love with the last so-called BPA & wanted Glass. So idk what BPA actually means tbh.
JB i trust. |

If JB does not set the roster why do we need him?
U & Nuck should get together. |

Wasn't Staal a 50 pt 3LC on the 2009 Pens cup team?
- LordHumungous
I said 53pts..... not 50
Wasn't Staal traded that off-season and became a 1/2c? |

Its not as simple as the coach or the GM setting the line up and you know it. |

Roster not line-up.
Yes it is that simple. It will be 14/7/2
What is not simple is what line-up TG goes with. |

Lol... again, horvat has the 34th amount of goals amongst centers and the 35th
amount of points amongst centers.
That would make him one of the highest producing 2nd line centers in the entire nhl. He's already a 2LC... not 3lc |

I'm not saying he shouldn't be paid accordingly. |

I still disagree. Even the Utica coach will input on who has been playing well and who has not.
Yes JB gives Green the players but its up to Green how he deploys them. Even then with good communication between them I still think its a group decision. |

Doesn't that kinda make him a 2lc? Paid accordingly.
I know he's no elite 2lc like kesler... in the top 20s scoring amongst centers for the past 5 years or sip running. |

A group decision as far as JB asking for opinions & ideas.
In the end his mind will most likely be set beforehand excepting a couple tough calls.
He will chair any group discussion & Cull won't be involved.
JB & TL will lead any talks & refer to TG as needed. |
