Can he Mentor The Sedins who can then properly mentor Rodin and Molino? Would Gaunce be ok with that? |

Being ahead of the curve can be a curse. Anyway, below, again, is what is relative to roster. Note, Green believes no vet and no prospect is owed anything and earns it with competition. Bubble vets will be waived.
Seems battles come down to 1 scoring slot in top 9, the whole 4th line & extra.
Top 9 wing battle: Rodin, BB, Goldoblin, JV, Boucher, Dahlen, Molino, Palmu.
4LC battle: Burmistrov, Chaput, Gaunce, MacEwen.
Remainder of above fight for last 3 forward spots along with: DD, Labate & Megna. Green's choices for who stays are: go with speed, scoring; or grit and energy. After that decision he sends 10 forwards to Comets.
For D it's simple: OJ earns 9 game look. Holm sent to Comets to adjust and wait. One of Wiercoch, Pedan or Biega spared waivers as 8th D.
My early pre-camp favorites to earn a spot in the battles are: BB, Burmistrov, Rodin, JV, Boucher & Wiercoch. (OJ earns his 9 game show me) |

I know we've been talking a lot about this coming training camp. I am looking forward to it. But in reality I don't think there are many roster spots open. Based on contract structures it seems to be the roster is rather predictable.
Baertschi
Boeser
Burmistrov
Dorsett
Eriksson
Gagner
Goldobin
Granlund
Horvat
Megna
Rodin
Sedin
Sedin
Sutter
Gaunce
Biega
Del Zotto
Edler
Gudbranson
Hutton
Stecher
Tanev
Wiercioch
Markstrom
Nilsson
Seems predictable to me. - bloatedmosquito
Megna Biegs to Utica
JV might get in & Goldy to Utica
I agree pretty much & probably only 2-3 spots open for competition.
UFA signings were intended to bolster depth.
Also create a lil more stability & a culture to build on.
Prospects get more time to improve & force the issue into call ups.
Utica will be stocked up & fun for us to track.
Something we never had before & will keep on getting better.
This season will be an evaluation season for many vets & prospects & can foresee some deals to come. Whether soon or by the TDL or offseason IMO its inevitable. |

Yes the signings add to competiton. With Green's openness to earn it for vets and prospects he's looking at a good 7 roster spots to battle it out at camp. The other 16 to compete to gain icetime or placement as a starter, special teams etc. |

Like many know the line-up is very predictable.
What isn't is who & how TG & Baumer & Newell like to play them.
Don't see rolling 4 lines happening & never was a fan of it tbh.
IMO each game TIO will vary on individual play & situations. |

(frank) Derek Dorsett. THE organization owes him nothing. Try to trade him for a 6th, probably won't be able to give him away. |

Too simplistic. He gets beaten out only & JV is the type of player to do it.
I expect a higher tempo game from TG & players who skate & work hard all game will be what he demands. Going to be lots of different looks ahead for us. |

Right and it starts from camp where several (like 7) roster spots will be battled out. With improved depth all the way to Utica holding more accountable throughout the line up.
I'd like to see rookie coach Green have the balls to sit or demote vets who aren't performing for whatever reason. Shelf the stale for the hungry prospect. |
