He was the fastest on the team. Speed and size kills. He can do it. - thundachunk
Do what? Passed on for the ex draft says everything.
Pedan is hardly a puck carrier or a threat.
Last time i looked still an AHLer.
On those points JV is a lock? |

IMO the only way a Pedan makes a team is when they have a very good top 3.
5/6/7 D is dime a dozen.
We r offensively challenged.
A few D traded r needed before he can have a shot. |

Like Botches opening roster better! There's no way Brock doesn't start! - K-man25
Brock is starting and don't be shocked if he does not see one minute in Utica…the powers that be around here might want to come to terms with that... |

There has been more thaw few on here commenting on Boeser going to Utica…ain't gonna happen. Unless he really poops the bed at camp he is in our top 9 for sure. |

I don't get it why? What has he to offer that helps us?
Not even good enough to bump anyone & that says a ton.
Needed in Utica not the 8th D in the press box.
His chance has come n gone & i honestly don't know why i talk about him.
He could use a Utica blog. |

As Carol mentioned with Stecher last season, it was more about numbers than Stecher not getting a spot after a good showing at camp.
I'm expecting a good camp from Boeser and him making the club. If the club is worried about losing someone else on waivers that had a good camp, then there is the option of Boeser going to Utica. as I type this, I really can't see Boeser going to Utica.
if you are going to send anyone to Utica that you are worried about losing, best to do it early when other teams are making their own decisions.

It is an option, likely of last resort.
I'm rooting for Rodin, but if his fitness or something is holding him back, send him to Utica and leak a rumour that it's his knee.
Boeser looks like a sure thing based on what we saw at the end of last season.
Still, he could have a little slump or hit the wall/get worn down and be sent down to Utica. I'm just hoping we won't see the sulking with him. and yet, he seems so focused it wouldn't be a shock for him to have a good stretch before it would be even considered. |

From talking to people this week not many care. They all reply OH Yeah I hear we have a team. |

My wife just accepted a job in a different place. I'm honestly going to miss watching the Wheat Kings play. There isn't another team where I am going but the Jets will be much closer. Sadly this year I said I didn't want any part of my Jet's season tickets because it was too much of a hassle to go. |

Coaches don't demote - Nighthawk
Not to get technical here but come on now if Green says bring up X player as Y player isn't working out that will get ignored? Are you suggesting Canucks are run as a budget team worried about paying one way contracts or cap money in the AHL?
You'd expect he will have control over camp battles for who earns a spot. Otherwise, Green might as well just ask JB who do you want to leave up on the roster so I can form my line up.
And yeah he should sit some vets a$$ who isn't producing or performing and have a prospect earn it. |

It should be about not rushing the young players either. Even if they have a good camp, they can still go down for a while. Nothing wrong with that. Van still isn't in win mode. They are in plan for the future. |

With more vets then roster spots any prospect who makes it isn't being rushed. Whoever is playing has earned it. Wining team or not they will be competitive for icetime. |

I'd almost prefer it if they did, just so they play a ton and work on their game. Seemed a bit of too much too son for JV and McCann. I'm not sure if we have to worry about Boeser's attitude.
I'd guess it must piss off young players if they are in the ahl and they showed better than guys on the big club. and as you said, this is more about development than all the losses or how we lose. |

Rodin will play or the press box. Reinjured then idc.
Boeser is sure as it gets on our team
Slump or not its a leap that he would sulk.
He is a driven player so no worries here about his attitude. |

23 man roster. U not I said TG does demoting.
TG does not monitor Utica. JB does his job & TG his.
Don't even suggest a coach is the boss over a GM.

Yes it was too much too soon for both JV & McCann.
The problem was we had no depth or options at the time.
JB was weighed down by MG & his contracts left behind & no prospects ready.
LAK r in a similar mess & the Dead Wings even worse off.
As for pissing off the kids there time will come & 1st time any prospects in our history could even possibly get pissed off if it were ever to even happen. Tbh idc if they get pissed i don't want or tolerate any Drouin type attitudes on the Canucks or in the sytem. Buttercups can suck it up & force there way onto the team. Its the Pros not a charity lol |
