Mike Reno from Loverboy is from Penticton and plays here quite a bit. Man is he a fat b*stard now.

You're not wrong. Every person is different not the player he can be but his personality and maturity level as well as their want t o play for said team also play a part. You can have all the skill in the world to play at an NHL level out of the draft but some guys go full Johnny Manzeil.

For the honest record, if I'm building a championship winning team, Bo is not in my top 6. That's not a knock against him as I love his game and how he plays, but I see him as the opposite personality version of Kesler and in which case, I want him as my 3C or at best, my 2A center. I want two more offensive and dynamic centers in front of him that can pass the puck and win faceoffs and then Bo can be the guy I want with 2 minutes to go protecting the lead or trying to get that clutch goal to tie or win the game.

I watched the SC Final closely (because I was SUPER invested in Nashville winning) and though I LOVE Colton Sissons and he did a yeoman's job as the 1C, he's nowhere near good enough to be that for more than a game or two and it showed. If it weren't for Nashville's defence and Rinne at home, Pittsburg likely sweeps the Finals because after Game 4 it was clear that Nashville just didn't have the offense to hang with Crosby, Malkin, et. al.

Arguably Pitt has the 2 best centers in the league on one team.

Maybe the only other centres I have ahead off Malkin are Tavares and McDavid.

Not anymore... I'd rate McDavid definitely better than Malkin, but not QUITE as good as Crosby (mostly because Crosby has the 3 Cups, 2 Olympic Gold medals, etc.) and Matthews if he improves next season as good as Malkin. But that being said, yes, Crosby and Malkin are both elite franchise centers.

Like I said, if I'm expecting to win a SC, Bo definitely isn't my 1C, and hopefully not my 2C either because he isn't a dynamic offensive playmaking center that you need to drive the offense. He is what he is, which is a 200 foot clutch goal scoring center in the mold of Kesler which you would want as your 3rd option on a stacked team so that if your scoring lines are balked, he can overpower his matchups and get you the goals you need.

Been a fan of Nashville for years, doesn't diminish my love for the Canucks, only reason I support Nashville is because I am a seasons ticket holder for the Rockets and lots of Rockets were drafted by the Preds, most notably Shea Weber, Cody Franson and Colton Sissons.

Bo could be a #2 centre on a SC winning team but I would draw the line there. He has a lot of developing before that happens. Right now he is 3rd line on SC team. So I do agree with you.

I don't mind the debate it is all good.

JV turned into a piss tank party guy . That is not JBs fault. They were also brought in as 18 year olds. Boeser ig going on 3 years removed from his draft. That is a big big difference.

I don't mind losing but even the Oilers said goodbye to Captain Canada Ryan Smyth. Henrik and Daniel should be playing their final year here next year

So you think that we should resign them for one more year?

But how many Ambassadors do we have? A team can never have too many mentors or Ambassadors. And of course they come in a package.

If we are look at things this way not to many teams have a good enough 1/2 centre punch if any at all.
Anahiem: Getzlaf #1 centre on a SC winning team
Arizona: No-one
Boston: Bergeron #1 centre on a SC winning team and Marchand #2 Also Backes Honourable mention
Calgary: Monahan #2 centre on a SC winning team
Buffalo: O'Reilly #2 Eichel future #1 not now.
Carolina: No-one
Chicago: Toews #1
Colorado: Duchene #2 MaKinnon #2
Columbus: Schroeder #1 (Joke) they have no-one
Dallas: Seguin #1 centre
Detroit: Larkin #2 centre
Edmonton: McDavid #1 LD #1
Florida: Barkov #2 centre
LA: Kopitar #1 Carter #2
Minny: Koivu #2
Habs: No-one
Nashville: Forsberg #1 centre
NJ: No-one....yet
NYI: Tavarez #1 Barzal future #2 not now.
NY: Kreider #2
Ottawa: Turris and Brassard both #2 centre
Philly: No-one yet
San Jose: Pavekski #2 Couture #2 Thorton #2 All at one point were potential #1's
St Louis: No-one
TBay: Stamkos #1 Johnson #2
Toronto: Mathews #1
Van: No-one at this point
Vegas: No-one
Washington: Backstrom #1
Winnipeg: Scheiflie #1

So only a couple of teams even have depth at centre even close to Pittsburg.
