Emelin is nothing more than a headhunter, but he has caught dozens and dozens of guys in bad spots and inflicted serious damage. Alex Petrovic "isn't fast enough to catch Kane", but he caught him in a vulnerable position and threw him into the boards to snap his collarbone. He's a guy you don't like to play against bc he is a large man and his only reason for playing hockey is to inflict pain on the opposition. Emelin messed up Sharp's knee in 2015 with a rough ride into the boards.

Petrovic isn't slow like Emelin and Kane mostly lost an edge. Adding: The crosschecked helped, but mostly it was bad luck he fell against the camera door which had a metal crossbeam pretty much where he got hit.

I don't disagree Emelin is a headhunter, but he's been a lot less effective in recent years because he's just bad at hockey now and can't keep up enough to really hurt too many guys. The kids may need to keep their heads up, but I expect most vets to be able to side step a pylon.

I see what you're saying and I agree to an extent. My point is that it's the same concept with guys like Backes and Reaves being sent out of the division. The less guys on the ice that are ONLY focused on trying to injure people, the better.

Well you kinda walked into it. Don't claim a Trade Alert without providing a legitimate source/information. Then you go off the grid when asked to provide any information about the trade. I want you to know I UNDERSTOOD you were proposing a trade, in a cutesy way,not really reporting one with the TRADE ALERT start to your post.

I know part of why I come here is I know the knownedgable cohorts are gonna catch any deals and movements Hawks or other teams HERE, so I can talk Hawks and find almost everything out.

But you are right: it can be a tough crowd here.

The Delia deal was based off a good prospects camp much like Nolan Valleux a couple years ago. Scott Powers is generally a very good writer but I really do not believe the Delia signing affects Jeff Glass. Delia has played no professional hockey, none.
Glass is a veteran pro. Big difference. Seems to me Rockford starts with Berube and Glass as their goalies. Indy starts with Delia and Tompkins and we will see where the season takes us.
