If I had to guess Berube is the only one guaranteed to stick in Rockford. I'd say Tomkins is almost certainly bound for Indy. The Hogs have gone with 3 goalies in the past, but if they choose to go with two it will be close between Glass and Delia. - DarthKane
Powers:
They signed Delia because they see NHL potential. Don't know if they see that in Glass. Delia could get starts in Indy early on.

off topic but vERY interesting:
I though Vancouver FINALLY made solid, terrific decisions in their draft choices in the weaker "wait-for" draft class.
I watched and personally loved/saw what the DiPietro son could do, how quick and fast he reacted and how he played, but I couldn't let go with his lack of size at six foot + size ... the Canucks drafted him in the start of the 3rd round, making the risk a lot less than taking a goaler early and hoping for development that Dallas is praying will come from big Jake Oettinger, who they selected with the Hawk first rounder, and nowhere are quick and instinctive as Mike DePietro.
I think the league continues to show parity only if the weaker clubs draft develop and coach wins...and Elias Pettersson, even as early as 5th overall, and Christmas gift, Kole Lind at the start of the 2nd round helps them as sisters move on, or stay and get older and eventually are buried in graves adjacent those to leotard freaks.

The Canucks has a fantastic draft, their best in years. DePietro was a solid pick, he was stellar in the Memorial Cup. I can't believe Lind fell to the 2nd round, he's a total gift to the Canucks.
At pick 144, the hawks went out of my range when they picked Parker Foo.
His older brother RW Spencer Foo, was a Flames sign, and he looks like he was a bright enough light at their prospects camp to get them talking about him winning a NHL spot. (He is 23 years old)
so maybe bloodline is the reason the hawks took younger brother who played alongside AJHL phenon Cale Maker...and going on to Union College, where his older brother developed his game...

Will be nice to have a bruising d-man for a change. Now imagine if they somehow get McNabb from LV too. - Assman22
I'm excited to see Keith-Murphy in action together. I think finally having a Right Shot RD with Keith (not named TVR) will help immensely playing against the opposition's top line every night. The D>D pass was much more difficult to execute under an aggressive forecheck as Hammer would always end up with the puck on his backhand, and throw it off the boards/glass losing possession. With both Dmen on their strong side, they can go D>D and make a tape-tape pass up the ice, even under tight coverage. Their playing styles seem like a good fit with Murphy as the large crease clearing guy and Keith doing what he does....be all over the ice.

And Seabs with Kempny then? I really liked what I saw from Kempny last season, now Ulf can unleash him. Now let's see if Stan will go get McNabb as the "future considerations" from the Kruger trade. Can't afford Garrison, Sbisa, or Stoner thankfully. So if it ends up being a d-man then her: McNabb, Merrill, Reinhart, or Hunt

To start the season I would expect the top 2 D pairs to be Keith/Murphy and Kempny/Seabrook.
I am not expectign the "future considerations" from Vegas to actually materialize into anything. The "future considerations" the Hawks get is cap space.

If Bowman can acquire a veteran blueliner to play 3rd pair, then I think Keith-Murphy and Kempny-Seabrook is the top 4 with the acquisition playing with either Forsling, Rutta, or Oesterle.
And if that acquisition is from Vegas, I like Merrill or McNabb. Then there's Moore on the Devils. Or a PTO guy like Franson.

Yeah, I wouldn't count on the Vegas owed Future Considerations to be as much as one of those guys, as they have possible possibilities FOR Vegas - McNabb the big up an comer is a UFA in a year so the hawks would be back in a pay or lose contract situation. (That is why Murphy fit;signed for so many more seasons) and Jon Merrill and Ex-Bruin Miller are going to be RFAs after this season, so that can be problematic.
Yeah, I bet the "favor" Vegas is doing for us, is either already one that is decided contigent upon something else happening, or
The future consideration is a a pick switch of a selection in a future draft, or
simply a "you owe us one" to be used at a MUCH later date.
As just suggested by EnzoD, a future draft where there is a kid the hawks really want mid round and are afraid he will get picked before the hawk can select
, Vegas does them a solid. In 2019 and 2020, Vegas has three second rounders to use towards "movement."
Some interesting info about Vegas from Sportsnet's Quick hits article:
• GM George McPhee will likely shop David Perron and James Neal at the deadline, hoping for second-round picks in return but probably settling for thirds.
• Jonathan Marchessault, Vegas’s other impending UFA scorer, is likely to re-sign, partly due to his relationship with coach Gerald Gallant.
• Vegas still holds 10 defencemen, nine of them lefties. McPhee would love to move Luca Sbisa. “He’s 27 but he’s got a lot of money [owed to him],” Carp said. “I”m not sure if George didn’t overplay his hand a little bit in taking all these defencemen thinking he could flip ’em quickly for picks.”
• There’s no indication that McPhee has interest in bringing in a veteran UFA like Doan, Iginla or Jaromir Jagr.
The 3rd point was a discussion on here yesterday. Vegas does want to move d-men, but the guys they want to move are not good / expensive.

Wouldn't Vegas be able to retain a substantial % of salary in any trade?
